Objective: This paper aims to study the non dementia vascularcognitive impairment (VCIND) variation in neuropsychology andevent-related potentials in the characteristics and working memory inpatients with injury, to explore the correlation between event relatedpotentials and impairment of working memory, electrophysiologicalindex for working memory impairment of VCIND patients, improve thelevel of early diagnosis of VCIND.Methods: In2012October to2013February in Luzhou MedicalCollege Department of internal medicine outpatient and hospitalizedpatients, all patients fulfilled the fourth revised National Conference oncerebrovascular disease cerebrovascular disease diagnostic criteria anddiagnostic criteria of VCI, and confirmed by head CT or MRIexamination. The mini mental status examation (MMSE) and clinicaldementiarating (CDR) for cognitive assessment, were screened vascularcognitive impairment with no dementia (VCIND) of30patients as groupVCIND, Vascular dementia (VaD)30patients were selected as VaD group, normal elderly age, gender, education level30matching people in thecontrol group at the same time. All subjects with ischemic score andactivity of daily living scale assessment, and the Hamilton depression rating scale out of depression, and completed the following tasks:1、testand neuropsychological tests: the Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA),Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE);2、the computer aided test:visual spatial working memory test (three ball load experiment), visualobject working memory test and verbal working memory memory test(2-back test and0-back test);3、Determination of event related potentials:mismatch negativity (MMN) and P300. Finally, correlation analysis.Result: VCIND group, VaD group and normal group in gender, age, years of education by the difference in general data such as no statisticalsignificance; VCIND group and VaD group compared with the controlgroup, two groups of patients with MMSE score significantly decreased,MoCA was significantly reduced, while in VaD group compared withVCIND group, MMSE and MoCA scale score is lower; computer aidedneural psychology test results show, VCIND group and VaD group, as theobject of visual spatial and verbal memory correct rate, reaction time, andthe latter is more obvious; event related potential detection of visibleP300and MMN in two groups of patients, especially in the VaD group, showed significantly prolong latency, amplitude reduce. Correlationanalysis showed that there was a good correlation between P300andMMN in patients with VCI working memory test, and the P300indetecting cognitive impairment was higher than MMN, the difference wasstatistically significant. Conclusions:1、VCIND and VaD in patients with impaired cognitivedomains widely, especially in the aspect of executive function, attention, delayed memory and visual space.2、Computer aided nerve damage, psychology test suggested that VCIND and VaD in patients with spatialworking memory, object working memory, verbal working memory.3、VCIND and VaD event related potential in patients with P300, MMNchanged significantly, such as prolonged latency, amplitude decreased.4、There is a good correlation between the event related potential P300,MMN and VCIND and VaD in patients with working memory test, it canbe used as neural electrophysiological index to reflect the VCIND andworking memory in patients with injury of VaD.5、P300and MMN canobjectively reflect the VCIND and working memory in patients with VaD,the extent of the damage, is helpful in the early diagnosis of patients withvascular cognitive impairment. And P300is more sensitive than MMN,more accurate.
