| Objective: To evaluate p53expression in gastric cancer occurrence anddevelopment of relations by meta-analysis.Methods: An electronic search and additional manual tracking wereperformed to retrieve relevant studies on the relationship of p53expressionin gastric cancer occurrence and development. Results: Eventually22case-control studies were enrolled..Meta-analysis effect shows that p53expression differences of each groupwere all statistically significant. As follows, p53expression in gastric cancergroup versus normal control group [OR=10.29,95%CI (8.32,12.73), P<0.00001], lymph node metastasis versus non-lymph node metastasis [OR=3.15,95%CI (2.24,4.41), P <00001], high-moderate differentiation versuspoorly differentiated group [OR=043,95%CI (035,053), P <0.00001],T1~T2versus T3~T4group [OR=0.40,95%CI (031,052), P <000001].Conclusions: p53expression in normal tissue has obvious differencesin the near gastric their cancer, and p53expression has a significant association with lymph node metastasis, histological grade and depth ofinvasion of the tumor, which helps diagnosis and treatment of gastriccancer in the early stage. |
