Investigation And Analysis Of The Quality Of Life In Children And Youth With Type1Diabetes

Objective：Investigate the current quality of life in98children andyouth with type1diabetes,evaluate the result in order to find factors thatinfluence the quality of life, in order to improve it in children with type1diabetes by taking measures in clinical treatment and daily life.Methods：The American juvenile diabetes patients quality of life scale“Diabetes Quality of Life for Youths”was used to Investigate the qualityof life in98patients who participated in the Diabetes Summer Camp whichheld in Chongqing, Wuhan and Chengdu.While SPSS19.0was used toanalysis the statistics.Results：1.The scale has good reliability and validity：whlie theCronbach’s Alpha score is0.942，the validity score is0.679；2.All threeareas of the scale have significant Correlations with self-health assessmentin0.01level；3.The quality of life in children and youth with type1Diabetes was affected:The score of influence area and worry area in thesechildren are higher than the total，the same to the self-health assessmentscore；4.Course of disease，diabetes diet and blood glucose have positivecorrelations to all areas in0.01level；Age and HbA1c have positive correlations to influence area only；while gender has negative correlation tosatisfaction area in0.05level.Conclusion：The quality of life in children and youth with type1Diabetes was decreased；it is influenced by course，age，sex and diet，glycemic，HbAlc，and all，Especially people who had a longer course ofdiabetes disease and female people who entered into adolescent, they had apoor diet, and glycemic were poor controlled. So the quality of life wasworse.
