Osteoarthritis is a chronic disease characterized by articular cartilagedegradation, subchondral bone sclerosis and synovial reaction. Recentstudies found PTH had the ability of inhibiting chondrocytes finalmaturation and differentiation. PTH had the significant role of cartilageprotection, delaying the progress of osteoarthritis. The relationship betweenPTH, PTHR and osteoarthritis may play an important role in thepathogenesis of osteoarthritis.
