Background: Short QT syndrome (SQTS) is an inherited and arrhythmogenic disease, with or without atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. These SQTS patients usually do notsuffer obviousstructural heart disease. Short QT interval does not always mean an increasedrisk of arrhythmia. It is not appropriate to diagnose SQTS without consideration thesefactors including Clinical manifestations, family history and genotype. Objective: In this paper, we reviewed the SQTS cases reported in Chinese, and analyedthe clinical features of the short QT syndrome in Chinese population, to know whether thediagnostic criteria of SQTS proposed by Gollob is suitable for Chinese people.Method: Chinese database (CNKI, VIP) was searched for all reported cases of SQTSin the Chineselanguageuseing the key word“short QT”, and all relevantdata were obtainedanalysised. The following clinical variables were extracted: age at clinicalpresentation; sex; QT interval; QT c value; gene type; clinical history; and family history of SQTS or suddencardiac death.Result: This paper analyzed a total19cases SQTS patients.14in19cases have clinicPresentation including sudden cardiac death, aborted cardiac arrest, syncope and fbrillation. The cohort had a mean QT value of312ms with values ranging from263.4298.7ms; amean QTc value of281.05ms with values ranging from290.3333.9ms; a meanJpoint Tpeakvalue of96.6ms with values ranging from83.6109.6ms; a meanQT/QTp%value of76.06%with values ranging from71.580.7%.Conclusion: This paper establishs a SQTS diagnostic criteria to help the diagnosis ofSQTS. Diagnostic criteria may be useful.
