| Objective Using iwitness Software for Analysis of Nasal and Labial CharacteristicsChange in Preoperation and Postoperation of Unilateral Cleft Lip to comprehend thechanges relationship between immediate effect and long-term effectiveness before andafter operation of patient. And the changes relationship can provide advisory opinion foraccurate setpoint design of cleft lip repair surgery.Methods The experimental subjects are50patients with unilateral cleft lip who are3-month to2-year old. They were divided into2groups according to cleft lip type. Thereare30patients belong to unilateral complete cleft lip group and20patients belong tounilateral incomplete cleft lip. We will use single digital camera technology to shoot3-period (before operation, after operation, postoperative follow-up (at least3monthsafter operation))two-dimensional images of patients’ face at a different angle. And thenuse iwitness software to do iterative reconstruction and acquire the distance or area undercurve of measurement item in three-dimensional space. After measuring8linear distanceof all patients’ nasal labial ministry and area of uninjured and injured side’s upper lip. Ineach group, the mutation analysis for uninjured and injured side correspondingmeasurement item before and after operation and postoperative follow-up. On trail, thestatistical analysis software is SPSS17.0. Analyzing and inspection is Paired sample t.Results1. Measured value varying pattern of unilateral complete cleft lip:1) beforeoperation, the length of the lip, the height of inside and outside of the lip of uninjuredand injured side, upper lip area and nostrils height of uninjured and injured side, theresult after comparing each group shows P<0.01and it has prominent statisticalsignificance. The measured value of the injured side’s nostrils width bigger than theuninjured side and the rest measured value of injured side smaller than that of uninjuredside.2) before and after operation, the length of the lip, the height of inside and outsideof the lip of uninjured side, the upper lip area, the length of the lip, the height of insideand outside of the lip of injured side, the result of the nostrils width and upper lip area of injured side, after comparing each group, shows P<0.01and it has prominent statisticalsignificance. The nostrils width of injured side is minish; the rest each measured valueincreased in different degrees after operation.3) after operation, the height of the insidelip of uninjured and injured side, nostrils width and upper lip area of uninjured andinjured side, the result after comparing each group shows P<0.01and it has prominentstatistical significance. After operation, the measured item of injured side is less than thatof uninjured side. After operation, the length of the lip of uninjured and injured side, theheight of outside lip of uninjured and injured side and the nostrils width before and afteroperation, the result after comparing each group shows P>0.05and it has no prominentstatistical significance. After operation, the length of the lip and the symmetry of outsidelip of uninjured and injured side recover well and the change of nostrils span ofuninjured side is not obvious before and after operation.4) the corresponding measuringproject of uninjured and injured side after operation and when return visit the result aftercomparing each group shows P>0.05and it has no prominent statistical significance.2. After operation, each measuredvalue is smaller than that of uninjured side but the miss-distance is small. After operation,the height of outside lip of uninjured and injured side and the nostrils width before andafter operation, the result after comparing each group shows P>0.05and it has noprominent statistical significance. After operation, the height of outside lip and the symmetry of nostrils width of uninjured and injured side recover well.4) thecorresponding measuring project of uninjured and injured side after operation and whenreturn visit the result after comparing each group shows P>0.05and it has no prominentstatistical significance.Conclusion1. Comparing before operation, the height of inside and lip, the lengthof the lip of patients with unilateral cleft lip will increase after operation. And this resultreminds the doctor should consider the change of tissue measurements after crannyclosed when doing design and the distance between two spots will be changed because ofthe change of tissue tension.2. Confirmation for the peak at the lip of injured side is theemphasis for vertices design of unilateral cleft lip repair. Only the peak at the lip whichconfirmed after simulation of cleft lip repair and the symmetrical peak at the lip ofuninjured side can grasp the good symmetry of the length of the lip.3. The immediateand long-term effect shall be changed. There is not a specific result because the pursuantcase of illness is too less and the time is too short. |
