Research On Rubus Wood Antitussive And Expectorant Effects

Aim:Mongolian medicinal material Rubus sachalinensis is extracted with water and orally administrated to mice to confirm the pharmacological activity of relieving cough, eliminating phlegm and treatment of chronic bronchitis.Method:The mice were arranged in ammonia water tube to cough, trachea phenol red excretion test to phlegm, and orally administrated rubus water extract, ethanol extract, water and ethanol extract respectively for6days. And evaluate the relieving cough and eliminating phlegm activity. Apply with cigarette smoking method to establish the chronic bronchitis model and orally administrated rubus sachalinensis water extract14days, note the change of body weigh, calculate the pulmonary index and identify histopathological changes of lung tissue.Result:Water extraction of Mongolian medicinal material Rubus sachalinensis shows good relieving cough and eliminating phlegm activity; effective compounds extract is from normal butanol layer. Water extraction high dose group and middle dose group was little change of histopathological in lung tissues and indicate the activity of treatment of chronic bronchitis.
