Abstract/Summary:
ObjectivesCombined the factors that affect cardiovascular health, based on the progress of mature risk assessment system, through expert consultation method, this study is to establish cardiovascular health evaluation index for Chinese. And the aim of this study is to provide simple assessment tools for people’s cardiovascular health assessment, as well as the testing and inspection reliability and validity of scale. So as to set up scientific evaluation index, the crowd of cardiovascular health in a objective and scientific evaluation and to provide reference for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.Methods1. Delphi Method was used in this study. The interviews were arranged for nineteen representative experts from different working fields including cardiovasology, nutriology, medical epidemic, nursing education and nursing research. And they came from each big hospitals and medical colleges in zhejiang province.2. Three steps were taken in this study. First, systematical review of both international and domestic cardiovascular health-related literatures and research progresses was conducted. We proposed a conceptual hypothesis and formulated a 7-dimensions scale according to current cardiovascular health assessment in China. Second, used Delphi Method to modify the index and added one dimension. Third, data of preliminary experiment was collected from a random sample of health examination population at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou. Than analyzed the data by SPSS16.0.Results1.Evaluation on representative and dependability of experts’ comments in our study, the ages between11and30, and the percentage of experts with Ph.D is79%.They are higher level professional and representative in their field. The index dependability of their comments is0.81due to the expert’s familiar with the questions that they were interviewed. The rates of qualified return sheet are94.7%and88.9%in two interview. This shows the result is statistically valuable, while it is suggests the experts support our study. The cooperation index of the expert are0.294and0.263(p<0.05). It implies that the result is valuable.2. Cardiovascular health assessment indicators based on expert opinion, at all levels in the first round of survey one dimension was added. The second round survey experts tend to agree.The weight of items was identified with using the Delphi Method. The weight of the first grade including exercise, diet, smoking, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar and blood cholesterol were0.1339、0.1103、0.1356、0.1208、0.1283、0.1287、0.1373、0.1052.3. In our study, the values of Cronbach alpha and split-half reliability were0.724and0.536. Content validity was evaluated by the expert judgment method.ConclusionsThrough consultation with19experts, cardiovascular health assessment index was developed. A16items cardiovascular assessment tool including exercise, diet, smoking, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood cholesterol and age was drawn.
