Diagnosis And Treatment Of Male Breast Cancer With10Cases Of Retrospective Analysis

Objective:Nowadays, diagnosis and management of Female Breast cancer (FBC) is developed for several decades. But the treatment of Male Breast cancer (MBC) is still lack of normalized treatment. The reason is that MBC is so rare, about1%of the incidence of female breast cancer. Diagnosis and treatment of MBC is almost similar to the treatment of breast cancer in women recently. Therefore, it needs more research.Methods:This article summarizes10patients of The Second Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University in recent five years (2008-2013). With the help of papers of domestic and overseas, this article reviews and tries to analyze the diagnosis and treatment of MBC.Results:For this group of patients, median age of diagnosis is65years old, range from 54-75years. The major of patients present with a palpable breast mass before they came to the hospital (9/10,90%). The postoperative pathology is given priority to with invasive ductal carcinoma (6/10,60%).8patients of this group have the detection of hormone receptor, the rate of ER/PR-positive is7/8,87.5%. The major treatment is surgery, with hormonal therapy and Radiation and chemotherapy. Most of these patients are still under treatment and follow-up.Conclusion:The incidence of MBA is increased nowadays. But there are no unified treatment for MBC. The clinical presentation is similar with FBC patients after the menopause. The major treatment is surgery, with hormonal therapy and Radiation and chemotherapy, hormonal therapy become more and more important for the treatment of MBC. Of course, the most significant thing is that prevention and education, for early diagnosis and early treatment.
