Objective: To compare the effects of the different extraction of Capparis Spinosa onanti-rheumatic role in the adjuvant arthritis(AA)rat model and then select the mostEffective extraction of Capparis Spinosa to Prepare Ointment to observe its effects onrheumatoid arthritis rat model. Methods:1.Rats were divided into normal group,controlgroup,Voltaren group, fruits water extraction group, fruits ethanol extraction group,seeds water extraction group,seeds ethanol extraction group.establish the adjuvantarthritis animal model by Freund’s complete adjuvant. arthritis index(AI)and theparameter of paws were recorded as curative effect, and the level of IL-1β and TNF-αin serum were measured by radio immunoassay, observe the pharmacological effects ofdifferent extracts.2.Preparation of Capparis spinosa Ointment and evaluate it’s securityand stability.arthritis index(AI),Ankle thickness, organ coefficient, level of IL-1β andTNF-α in serum. observe the pharmacological effects of Capparis spinosa L’s Ointment.Results:1.Compared with model group, the Capparis spinosa L’s different extracts couldsignificantly inhibit ankle swelling(P<0.05,P<0.01), arthritis index were decreasedsignificantly(P<0.05,P<0.01),recover the action ability and inflammation symptoms ofmodel rats, the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in serum were decreasedsignificantly(P<0.05,P<0.01).2.Compared with the model group, the Capparis spinosaOintment can inhibite Ankle thickness significantly(P<0.05,P<0.01),articular indexwere decreased significantly(P<0.05),recover the action ability and inflammationsymptoms of model rats, the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in serum were decreasedsignificantly(P<0.05). Conclusion: different extracts of Capparis spinosa and Ointmentof Capparis spinosa L’s seeds ethanol extraction has a certain role in the anti-rheumaticdisease. The mechanism may be by reducing the level of cytokines TNF-α andIL-1β,inhibition of the inflammatory mediators PGE-2biosynthesis, hinder the disease progress, by that achieve the anti-rheumatic effect.
