The Cross Section Study On Health Of A Military Population Exposed In Complex Electromagnetic Radiation

Complex electromagnetic environment(CEE) is a special military task environment.The health problems exposed in the complex and intensity electromagnetic radiation havebeen paid more attention by experts. In this study, The Microwave leakage detector havebeen used to examine the microwave radiation intensity of military work environment. Theobservation population accepted the convention medical examination and otherinvestigation.The results have showed that:1. In the CEE environment，the intensity of electromagnetic radiation and noiseexposure area was significantly higher than that in control area. There are35test points(57.63%) where the density of electromagnetic radiation is higher than the health standardlimited value. But there are no significant difference of formaldehyde, carbon dioxide,volatile organic compounds in the air.2. In the exposure group, the electrocardiogram, blood abnormal rate and hemoglobincontent was significantly higher than the control group. But the level of vitamin A andvitamin E reduction was lower than the control group3. In the exposure group, the neurasthenic syndrome prevalence rate is48.10%,significantly higher than the control group; with the increase of the accumulation ofradiation dose, neurasthenic syndrome incidence rate showed an increasing trend. So it canbe concluded that the neurasthenia symptoms was the mainly symptoms induced by CEE.4. WHO-NCTB test showed that, in the exposure group, the emotional state, digit span,digital compilation, target tracking test score were all at the normol range, there were nosignificant difference from the control group. It infered that the environmental of complexelectromagnetic radiation did not lead to neurological behavor and psychological damage.5. In the CEE exposure population, there are some health problems need to be furtherobserved. A strengthen protective measure in view of electromagnetic radiation shoud becarry out.
