Objective The occupational exposure and chronical health effect in ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field were explored,in order to provide basic data to protect workers against occupational hazards.Method In this study,the workers in the factory with ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure was selected as the exposure group,and the workers in the same factory without ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure as control.The exposure was detected and analyed according to the national standards.Base on the field exposure,personal accumulated exposure of workers in the exposure group was determined by the contact time survey.Then,neurobehavior function test was performed on exposed high frequency electromagnetic radiation workers and control workers.Application of Neurobehavioral Evaluation System Chinese 3rd Generation(NES-C3)which include 8 test items in 4categories,consist of mental arithmetic,visual retention,memory scan,switching attention,the breadth of listening distance,visual simple reaction time,curve anastomosis,digital filtering.Questionnaires were created by Epidata.What is more,NES-C3 results were created by NES-C3 system automatically.Eventually,SPSS version 21.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data.The statistical description is used to the exposure of electromagnetic radiation,the counting data is analyzed by the chi-square test,the t-test or the variance analysis is applied to the measurement data(the rank sum test with the substandard condition),and multiple linear regression model.Result The research object is the footwear manufacturing enterprise,there is a high frequency workshop,the model is PR-4000TAH(4KW,running frequency 40.68MHz)and the number of high frequency machine was 64,PR-4000 TAH machine operator contact ultra-high frequency electric field strength of 138.1±42.1V/m,the maximum value is 231.8V/m,the minimum value is34.19V/m.There were 85 cases in the exposed group,male 22(25.88%)and female63(74.12%),respectively.The age was between 18 and 49 years(37.87 ± 6.44).There were121 cases in the control group,male 37(30.58%)and female 84 cases(69.42%),respectively.The age was between 18 and 51 years(37.73±7.96).There was no significantly different among gender,age,smoking,drinking,sleeping and education.In intelligence class,the mental arithmetic NAI of the exposure group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.005).Among them,after gender classification,the female wokers in exposed group was lower than that in control group(P=0.005),and there was no significant difference between in male groups.In learning and memory aspects,there was no significant difference between two groups in the visual retention and memory scan.After gender classification,visual retention of male workers in the exposed group were higher than those in the control group(P=0.011),and there was no significant difference between female groups.In sense of perception,there was no significant difference in the breadth of listening distance between two groups,but there was significant difference between two groups in the tests of switching attention(P=0.025).After gender classification,female workers in the exposure group were lower than those in the control group in the test of switching attention(P=0.008),but there was no significant difference in male.In psychological movement,digital filtering was statistically significant(P=0.013),while there was no significant difference between two groups in the tests of visual simple reaction time and curve anastomosis.After gender classification,the female workers in the exposed group was lower than those in the control group in digital filtering(P=0.001).After adopting age,gender,smoking,drinking,sleep,education,we found that nerve function was negatively associated with ultra-high frequency electromagnetic radiation.Conclusion The ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure level in the rearch facory exceeded national standards seriously.Neurobehavioral function study suggested that the neurobehavior system probably be affected by ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field,but different between male and female.The result showed that ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure probaly reduce the neurobehavioral abilities of female workers but increase the male workers.And the female may be more susceptible to ultra-high radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure.
