Objective To analyze the incidence trend of patients in Korean-chinese and Han nationality with thyroid carcinoma(TC) in Yanbian area from2005to2012.Methods The patients of TC were collected from13hospitals during from2005to2012diagnosed by pathology. The incidence trend of TC was analyzed in different time periods, different nationality, gender, age, and also analyze the variation trends in the pathological types of TC.Results During the period from2005to2012, a total of656TC cases had been diagnosed, Korea-chinese had277cases and Han had379cases, the ratio of male and female was5.09and5.32, respectively. The crude incidence of TC has increased from5.9/105and4.03/10to16.49/105and12.75/105from2005to2012in Korean and Han female, there was significantly differences. The crude incidence of TC was increasing from0.989/105and0.762/105to3.27/105and2.60/105in Korean and Han male during the period2007to2012. The mean age of onset for TC was50.5years old and45.2years old in Korean and Han female and the mean age of incidence in Han female was earlier than that in Korean female, there were significantly difference. The mean age of onset for TC was48.3years old and47.9years old in Korean and Han male. The age peaking was at50years and40years in Korean and Han women, and it was50years group in Korean and Han men. The incidence of TC during Health Check-up was increased from10.0%to52.3%, The rates of PTC and PMTC were increased from85.5%to93.9%and from10.9%to62.8%during the period2005to2012. The rate of MFTC was increased from10.34%to25.81%from2006to2012. The rates of NG and TC were increased8.13and4.2times from2005to2012.Conclusion In recent years, the crude incidence of TC is remarkably increased in Yanbian area, and it was significantly higher in Korea-women than that the Han-women in2012. The age of TC patients was different between two nationalities woman, changes of TC types showed that malignancy degree of TC was decreased in recent years. The increasing of NG and Health Check-up receivers could related with the increased incidence of TC in Yanbian area.
