The Research On The Physique Characteristics Of Subclinical Hypothyroidism And Correlation With The Syndrome

Objectives:The purpose of this research is to evaluate the distributable regulat ion of traditional Chinese medical(TCM) body constitution in subclinical hypoth yroidism(SCH) using clinical survey methodology, to explore distributable regu lation of TCM body constitutions in SCH and the correlation between age, gen der, disease duration, geographical, TCM syndromes, physical and chemical i ndicators. So provide the basis for the prevention and treatment about SCH.Methods:The methods of traditional literature rearrangement and modern literature analysis were used to review the last several decades’ understanding of etiology, pathogenie mechanism, diagnostic classification, clinical characteristic, TCM differentiative types and therapeutic progress of SCH-related Chinese&Western medicine; The application of TCM physique theory in thyroid diseases was explored; The effeets of physique charaeteristic upon the etiology/pathogenesis, diagnosis&treatment, prognosis and outcome of SCH were observed. The clinical survey methodology was used and284patients of SCH were chosen to take a questionnaire. All the data was recorded in Excel table, statistical research including the patients’ sex, age,profession.living situation,TCM constitution and TCM syndrome,processed by SPSS18.0statistical software to analyze the relationship between TCM constitution and syndrome types.Results:(1) In this study,284cases were selected, accounting for144cases (50.7%) of simple, compound accounted for140cases(49.3%),2types and3types combined constitutions were common mixed TCM constitutions, but they were still mainly consisited by simple TCM constitutions. We did not find more than5types combined constitutions in this study. Patients of gentleness type accounted for3.5%, and those of Biased types accounted for96.5%.(2)The frequency of simple TCM constitution types in subjects withSCH in des cending order is:Qi-deficiency type>Qi-depression type> Yang-deficiency type> Yin-d eficiency type>Gentleness type>Phlegm-wettype>Wetness-heat type>Special inherite d type. Male patients werecommonly classified to Phlegm-wet Physical and We tness-heat Physical, while female to QI deficient and Qi-depression Physical. (3) The frequency of the syndromes of SCH in descending order is:syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency>Liver Yin deficiency syndrome>syndrome of Liver qi stagnation>other syndromes.(4) Syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency was common in Qi-deficiency type, accounting for54.2%; syndrome of Liver qi stagnation and syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency were common in Qi-depression type,occupying44.7%and19.4%; syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency and syndrome of Liver qi stagnation were common in Yang-deficiency type, occupying50.5%and18.7%; syndrome of Liver Yin deficiency and syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency were common in Yin-deficiency type, occupying45.7%and21.3%. Qi-deficiency type and Qi-depression type were common in syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency,accounting for36.1%and25.6%; Qi-depression type and Yang-deficiency type were common in the syndrome of Liver qi stagnation; occupying50%and18.5%; Yin-deficiency type and Qi-deficiency type were common in syndrome of Liver Yin deficiency,occupying37.1%and17.2%.(5) The TCM syndrome type distribution and relationship with sex,age had statistical sense,but the TCM constitution type distribution and relationship with age difference were not evident, TCM constitution type distribution and sex difference, the types of TCM constitution and age category are evident.Conclusions:(1)Performances of TCM constitution of SCH subjects are simple and compound constitution, in which a larger proportion is the simple constitution. In patterns of healthy qi deficiency, the patterns of Qi deficient physical,Yin deficient physical and Yang deficient physical were very common. In patterns of xieqi prevail, the mainly patterns were Qi-depression Physical. Male patients were commonly classified to Phlegm-wet Physical and Wetness-heat Physical, while female to QI deficient and Qi-depression Physical.(2)After analysis of the correlation between patterns of TCM constitution and the relevant physical and chemical indicators in SCH patients, we found that when the patients’TGAb and TPOAb were increased, we should firstly classify them to Qi-depression physical and Yin deficient physical.(3) The common TCM syndrome types of the SCH patients are syndrome of Spleen and kidney qi deficiency, syndrome of Liver qi stagnation and Liver and lack syndrome.It is indicative by this study that treatment of constitution of SCH should be combined with arguing body, disease and syndrome. Based on the patient’s constitution of intervention and adjustment, we can improve the curative effect of TCM and reduce the recurrences, and prevent the disease.
