Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Traditional Chinese Medicine For Tonifying Kidney And Dispersing Blood Stasis Combined Hyperthermia On Bone Metastases Pain

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of the herbal medicine for tonifying kidney and dispersing blood stasis combined with hyperthermia in the treatment of pain induced by bone metastasis, and to discuss the effects of Yishengukang decoction with the combination of advanced hyperthermia on relieving pain, reducing the dosage of opioid drugs, adverse effects, and improving the quality of life,etc.Methods:65patients with pain induced by bone metastasis were randomly divided into the experimental group (herbal medicine for tonifying kidney and dispersing blood stasis combined with hyperthermia) and the control group (western medicine only). The experimental group took both oxycodone and acetaminophen, and Yishengukang decoction orally twice a day for14days, and were treated with hyperthermia for the pain area on the day3,6,9,12with42.5℃-43.5℃lasting for60minutes, while the control group only took oxycodone and acetaminophen orally. The pain scores before and after the treatment and the differences of the scores and performance status influenced by the pain were compared. The difference of the effects for these two treatment methods were observed.Results:The effective rate of the treatment group with30cases was93.3%(28cases), while the effective rate of the control group was80%(24cases), there was statistical difference (P<0.05). The average dosage of opioid drugs was54.44±6.126, and that of the control group was59.89±4.197, there was statistical difference (P<0.05).The satisfaction of the pain relievement and treatment were higher in tretment group than that in control group.There was statistical difference of the Karnofsky Performance Score before and after the treatment in the treatment group (P<0.001).The Karnofsky Performance Score of the treatment group after the treatment was73.67±12.994,and that of the control group was65.67±14.547.There was statistical difference(P<0.05). Compared to the condition before the treatment, the patients’condition of the daily activity, mood, and sleeping in both two groups were better (P<0.05). The treatment group had obvious advantage in mood and sleeping especially (P<0.001). There was no statistically significance in the terms of walking ability, working, the relationship with others, and enjoyment of life (P>0.05).Conclusions:①Compared to the western medicine, herbal medicine for tonifying kidney and dispersing blood stasis with hyperthermia has a synergistic effect on reducing pain induced by bone metastasis, which relieves the pain and improves the quality of life;②ishengukang decoction for tonifying kidney and dispersing blood stasis combined with hyperthermia for warming yang, dispelling cold, and relieving pain not only releases the pain, but also reduces the dosage of opioid drugs and its adverse effect.③his study reduced pain influencing factors and improves the quality of life.
