This study is based on the professional perspective of social work, in order to improve parents’ ability to take care of their cleft lip and palate children as the goal, combined with the questionnaire survey and related literature research, to understand the problems and needs of the parents in the care of patients, then design and implement topic group activities, analysis the results of services, put forward countermeasures, in order to provide better services for cleft lip and palate patients and their parents.This research mainly adopts action research. First of all, in the form of questionnaire surveyed74parents of cleft lip and palate patients, the pretest questionnaire according to the basic situation, their ability to take care of the patients and the difficulties as an assessment. I use social work professional perspective to understanding the problems and difficulties of parents of cleft lip and palate patients, these problems include how the parents think of their children and due to the disease, the parents are facing a series of changes in the social life, psychological state, etc. At the same time, through the existing literature, combined with results of the actual survey, to analyze the key problems of the parents in the care of patients. Second, according to the demand theory, behavior theory, Erickson’s personality theory and the healthy personality, carry out the "healthy personality" as the theme of group activities with targeted and detailed content. After then, by measuring the questionnaire to analyze to change of patients’ parents on mood, self psychological state and feelings. Summary the services results reflect the services’ limits and some specific issues. Finally, countermeasures were also suggested.
