Objective: This article is to address the evaluation of3D HyCoSy on diagnosingfallopian tube pathology for infertile women. Methods During the research,92suspectedpatients with tubal obstruction were conducted on a vaginal examination with3D HyCoSytechnology, with the results recorded and a closely follow-up visit. Among the92patients,25of them were conducted on laparoscopic meilan pass liquid technique or iodine oilimaging examinations in about2weeks before the3D HyCoSy. The results werecompared.Methods: During the research,92suspected patients with tubal obstructionwere conducted on a vaginal examination with3D HyCoSy technology, with the resultsrecorded and a closely follow-up visit. Among the92patients,25of them were conductedon laparoscopic meilan pass liquid technique or iodine oil imaging examinations in about2weeks before the3D HyCoSy. The results were compared.Results: In the research,183oviducts were checked for the92patients, and177shown clearly under the3D HyCoSy(177/183,96.72﹪),with75through (75/183,40.98﹪),53through but not smooth(53/183,28.96﹪), and55tubal obstructions (55/183,30.05﹪). For those fallopiantubes through but not smooth,19patients showed one-side thorough but not smooth and17showed both fallopian tubes through but not smooth. The3D HyCoSy also showed that33out of the183fallopian tubes had umbrella end adhesion (33/183,18.03﹪),6patientshad uterine muscle injury, and4patients with cervical dysfunction. After a12-monthsfollow-up visit for those patients with fallopian tubes through but not smooth,20of thepatients conceived (20/36,55.56﹪). Research data shows the3D HyCoSy diagnosis oftubal obstruction sensitivity was86.21﹪(25/29) and specificity of90.00﹪(18/20).Among the results, the positive predictive value is92.59﹪(25/27) and negativepredictive value81.82﹪(18/22). In the same time, the positive likelihood ratio is8.62,and negative likelihood ratio0.16. Conclusions: It is concluded that the3D HyCoSy on vaginal examination can reveal the movements of the fallopian tube radiography agentsand the structure of the umbrella end. The diagnosis would be more direct and precise, andcan provide an extent of medical treatment for those patients. Meanwhile, the operationwas simple but safe and reliable for clinical applications.
