Objective: To explore the risk factors of cervical cancer in Uighur women in Xinjiang.Methods: Randomly selected Uighur women patients for treatment in First AffiliatedHospital of Xinjiang Medical Gynecology from October2006to December2011. Throughthe form of a retrospective survey for436cases of Uighur women patients, there were216cases of Uighur women patients with cervical cancer,220cases of patients withnon-cervical cancer were studied by retrospective survey. Through the univariate andmultivariate unconditional logistic retrospective survey the relationship of the Uighurwomen’s cervical cancer with age, fat or not, the level of education, occupation, firstsexual age, initial maternity age, number of pregnancy, active or passive smoking, numberof sexual partners, menstrual timber, and HPV infection or not. Results: The multivariateunconditional logistic regression analysis prompted that Uighur women are suffering fromcervical cancer may be related to the following factors: age, the level of education, initialmaternity age, number of pregnancy, active or passive smoking, number of sexual partners,menstrual timber, and HPV infection (the chi-square respectively is9.138,6.796,20.822,35.312,20.744,6.405,8.456,6.266, P<0.05). Conclusion: The age, the level of education,initial maternity age, number of pregnancy, active or passive smoking, number of sexualpartners, menstrual timber, and HPV infection are the risk factors of the Uighur women’scervical cancer, those suggest that it is necessary to at the right age to get married, prenataland postnatal care, popularize science knowledge, take preventive measures and ensureearly detection, early treatment for preventing Uighur women’s cervical cancer.
