Business Process Reengineering theory means completely reconsidering and thoroughly reorganizing the original enterprise process to obtain the improved performance in cost, quality, service, speed. Business Process Reengineering theory in some international famous enterprise has been adopted as an advanced management theory, and achieves significant benefits. According to statistics, Business Process Reengineering theory is mainly used to reduce the operating costs of the manufacture and services, soit focus on the process which direct contact with customers on many Business Process Reengineering practice. This phenomenon is similar with the hospital workflow process. The medical services has the characteristics as standard, continuity and focus on the results of the activities, which is similar with enterprise process. It makes possible to improve and innovate the original process by learning from developed industrial business process reengineering theory and practical experience, combined with the hospital information technology.In recent years, with the fierce competition in the health care market and the accelerating of the health care reforming, public hospitals need to abandon traditional business-centric process model and change into patient-centric processes. Hospital Process Reengineering is an effective way to make full use of medical information resources,a hospital necessary means to adapt to market needs, a method to increase hospitals ability to withstand risks, resolve conflicts between doctors and patients and reduce health care costs.This article tells about the emergence and development of the business process reengineering, the basic principles, methods and process of process reengineering, and describeusing the Process Reengineering theory to improve the process in the hospital infusion room process. Through questionnaires, interviews, we analysis the main problems existing in a secondary level hospital outpatient transfusion room process. According to the problems found, in accordance with business process reengineering methods and steps, withthe information technology support, through the implementation of "One Card" account management, self-service payment, liquid center, increasing appointment infusion, we reengineer the process of the infusion room. We shorten the patient’s waiting time of paying, taking medicine and pricing; protect the patient’s medical security; improve the patient’s satisfaction; improve the efficiency of the medical staff; save the cost; fully embodies the service concepf" taking the patient as the center", and construct a set of scientific, fine, specialized transfusion room process.
