Objective:To explore the effect of Yoga exercise on fitness health and perimenopausaldisturbance of perimenopausal women, and to provide reference basis for carrying outhealth promotion programs for perimenopausal women in community.Methods:Forty perimenopausal women aged40~60years from the two blocks of Lushoucommunity of Zhuzhou were recruited respectively according to the requirement ofexperiments and randomly divided into the control group(n=35) and the experimentalgroup(n=36). Everyone of experiment group would be asked to do Yoga exercise at least50min/day,3times every week for half years. Everyone’s life style of control group wouldbe maintained unchange and regular exercises were inhibited. Experimental indexes wereevaluated before exercise, after three months and six months exercise respectively such asphysical health (blood pressure, heart rate, vital capacity, weight, body circumference,standing on one leg with eyes opened and eyes closed), fitness health (muscle strength,muscle endurance, body mass index, flexibility), Perimenopausal disturbance symptomswith Perimenopausal Disturbance Symptoms Measuring Scale and the quality of life withSF-36Measuring Scale to test the subjects. Data were count with Statistics method, such asχ~2test, T-test, Wilcoxon rank sum test and ANOVA of repeated measure.Results:1. After Yoga exercise for3and6months, there were significant differences in thevalues of blood pressure, heart rate, vital capacity, weight, body circumference and the timeof standing on one leg with eyes opened and eyes closed of body mass indexes subjectsbetween two groups, excluding the value of chest measurement after study for6months(P<0.05). In experimental group, in the values of blood pressure, heart rate, vital capacity,weight, body circumference and the time of standing on one leg with eyes opened and eyesclosed of body mass indexes subjects were significant differences at the different time(P<0.05), excluding the value of blood pressure after study for3months. 2. After Yoga exercise for3and6months, excluding the values of muscle enduranceafter study for3months, there were significant differences in the values of fitness healthindex of subjects between two groups (P<0.05). In experimental group, the values offitness health index of subjects were significant differences at the different time (P<0.05),excluding the value of flexibilit measuring after study for6months.3. After Yoga exercise for3and6months, there were significant differences in thescore of Perimenopausal disturbance Symptoms and the scores of all dimensions of theperimenopausal disturbance symptoms between two groups (P<0.05). In experimentalgroup, the score of perimenopausal disturbance symptoms and the scores of all dimensionsof the perimenopausal disturbance symptoms were significant differences at the differenttime (P<0.05), excluding the valuees of Cardiovascular and autonomic nervous symptomsand Oa symptoms after study for6months.4. After Yoga exercise for3and6months, there were significant differences in thevalues of PCS, PF, RP, Bp, GH, MCS, MH, VT, RE and SF in Health SurveyQuestionnaire indexes between two groups, excluding PCS, PF after study for3months(P<0.05).In experiment group, the values of PCS, PF, RP, Bp, GH, MCS, MH, VT, RE andSF in Health Survey Questionnaire indexes were significant differences at the differenttime (P<0.05), excluding MH, SF after study for6months.Conclusion:1. Yoga exercise may improve the general health of Perimenopausal woman in community.2. Yoga exercise may increase the fitness health of Perimenopausal woman in community.3. Yoga exercise may reduce the perimenopausal disturbance symptoms of Perimenopausalwoman in community.4. Yoga exercise may promote the quality of life of Perimenopausal woman in community.
