Objective: To compare the recurrence rate and postoperative function of osteosarcoma patients for prosthetic replacement and allograft reconstruction.Method:Between January2011and January2012,thirty-two patients with osteosarcoma were treated in our hospital.17males and15females,whose age were from7to25years old, with the median age of17.7years old.All the patients were treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy and postoperative chemotherapy which were consulted to the Rosen T19scheme.27patients underwent the prosthetic replacement and the rest were treated with allograft reconstruction. Results:All the patients were followed-up,mean follow period was14months(8—19months), and with6patierts had local recurrence(5in prosthetic replacement and1in allograft reconstruction). All the patients were evaluated with the ISOLS system, the excellent and good rate of limb with the prosthesis is85%, and allograft is60%.Conclusions:The recurrent rate of the two operation method makes no difference, while the prosthesis has better postoperative function.
