Objective: To investigate the relationship between blood pressure and theshort-term outcome as well as long-term outcome of cerebral infarction. For the acutestage of ischemic stroke, blood pressure control and provide the certain reference. Methods: Fifty-nine inpatients with acute ischemic stroke from September2010to October2011were enrolled in this A prospective cohort study.Blood pressure.Bewas consecutively recorded everyday in the duration of hospital stay, and the mean levelBP after discharge was also recorded;Scores of Barthel Index(BI),modified RankinScore(mRS)and the Nationa1Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)were recorded atadmission, discharge as well as6months after discharge. The patients were distributedinto different groups according to Oxford shire community stroke of project(OCSP).fifty-nine patients classification.partial anterior circulation infarct(PACI), Therelationship between BP and short-term outcome and long-term outcome were analyzedin each group. Results: The acute stage of ischemic stroke,83.6%(46/55) of patients withsymptoms of high blood pressure, the incidence of14days,the overall level of bloodpressure in patients with decreased, at the onset of the disease within3days beforeblood pressure drop.Among the59patients of partial anterior circulation infarct(PACI),there were55patients followed-up.The patients whose average systolic blood pressure(SBP)of the first three days were between130~160mmHg (n=26) had significantlybetter long-term outcome (B1was89.39±15.20,mRS was1.57±1.02at6months)thanthose whose average SBP were higher than160mmHg (n=20)(BI78.15±20.84,mRS2.31~1.23,P=0.022and P=0.033respectively), or lower than130mmHg(n=9)(BI83.79±14.61,mRS1.97±0.81, P=0.023and P=0.031respectively). namely acute period average systolic blood pressure is130~160mmHg patients6months when the BI scoreand mRS score was significantly higher than the other two groups,P <0.05).The first3days (acute period) the average systolic blood pressure <130mmHg,130~160mmHgand>160mmHg three groups compared, not found during the acute phase of meansystolic blood pressure levels for14days with NIHSS score,BI score and mRS scorecorrelates with statistical significance (P>0.05).Description was not found during theacute phase of ischemic stroke blood pressure level and prognosis in the near futurethere is significant correlation. Conclusion: The outcome of patients with acute cerebral infarction issignificantly related to the level of BP;During the acute phase of mean systolic bloodpressure at130~160mmHg groups of patients.the long-term prognosis is better thanother blood pressure patients.During the acute phase of ischemic stroke blood pressurelevels and the recent prognosis does not have obvious correlation.
