Intestinal obstruction is one of the most common acute abdomen, appeared as thesyndrome consisting of many diseases with the same symptoms which must be treat inambulance room, it often caused by intestinal contents would not be smoothly throughthe intestinal tract, leading intestinal morphology and function change, and inducing aseries changes of clinical charactor, pathology and physiology. sometims would beendanger the patient’s life. With the increasing of abdominal operation number, muchmore adhesion intestinal obstruction need to be deal as a complications sequelae andgiven additional treatment. Now surgeons tend to nonoperrative treatment resulting ofoperation may lead to obstruction of recurrence risk. The adhesions and disorder ofanatomical structure causing by abdominal operation has become the main cause ofintestinal obstruction. The general principles of the treament are the correction of fluidand electrolytes imbalance and acid-base distrurbance, relif of intestinaldistention, fasting and removing thecause of obstruction.and also parenteral nutrition, antispasmodic and traditional Chinese treatment were importent. Gastrointestinaldecompression was the most useful clinically methods in treat simple obstruction.Intubation with gastrointestinal tube(gastrointestinal tube suction)is the important stepin management of obstruction.it could reduce and removing the contents of the wholeintestine and relief the intestinal distention.relief the clincal feature soon, also we canthrough the tract injected contrast agent to determine the site of obstruction. Objective: The study aim at evaluating the advantage of2kinds of tubes using asgastrointestinal decompression. Methods: Review and analysis the patient’s record and history that taking thetreament during Jan,2010and Jun,2011.44patients treat with ileus Tube forgastrointestinal decompression, another55patients in the control group used traditional nasogastric tubes for decompression. Rrcord their gender, age, past surgery times, abdominal pain, bloating relief, self-recovery exhaust time, the first24-hour digestiondrainage, X-abdominal plain film orthostatic changes in liquid-gas surface and so on.We analyze effect of ileus tube, discuss value of ileus tube in the treatment of adhesiveintestinal obstruction.Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS software version18.0. Data were record as means±SE. Enumeration data was analyzed by Chi-squaretest, measurement data was analyzed by Student’s t-test. P<0.05was consideredstatistically significant.Results:1、Observed in patients after ileus tube through the abdominaldistension, abdominal pain level, self-discharge time, the first24-hour digestiondrainage, X ray orthostatic abdominal plain film, we can see that the ileus tube in thetreatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction were better than the general tube (P<0.05).2、 Ileus tube more effective compared to the nasogastric tube, eithernon-malignant intestinal obstruction or malignant intestinal obstruction.3、In ileustube group, the efficacy for non-malignant intestinal obstruction was higher than themalignant intestinal obstruction. Conclusion: In the application of nonoperrative treatment of intestinal obstruction, the ileus tube can be more effective for gastrointestinal decom-pression, reducing boweldilation, significantly improved clinical symptoms, reduce the rate of operation. Ileustube can quickly and effectively relieve the patients’ symptoms arising from acuteintestinal obstruction, and reduce the risk of surgery. It showed an effect that superior toordinary nasogastric tube for different types of bowel obstruction, especially foradhesive small bowel obstruction.During decompression, the observation of bowelmotility and abdominal radiographs may present some cues foroperation indications...
