Objective By investigating and analysing clinical and pathological data of patientsdiagnosed by pathological examination with skin tumor from five hospitals in Ningxia from2002to2011, in order to provide clues for understanding the incidence and changes of skintumor of surrounding areas and ours.Methods The clinical and pathological data of skin tumor are collected、analysed fromthe patients who are treatment in five main hospitals of Yinchuan (Ningxia medical generalhospital, Ningxia People’s hospital, the Yinchuan First People’s hospital, the Fifth Hospital ofPeople’s Liberation Army, Maternal and child health hospital of Yinchuan).Results There are total3650patients pathologically diagnosed with skin tumor of thefive hospitals between the ten years, which occupy0.38%of the total patients of thedermatological department; the1686benign skin tumors seborrheic keratosis top the list fromthe aspect of pathological type, which occupy46.19%, secondly the901cases of squamouscell carcinorma, which occupy24.68, thirdly the756cases of basal cell carcinoma, whichoccupy20.71%. The most common part of skin tumor are the head and face, which are total2412patients and occupy66.08%, there are no significant difference in the incidence of otherparts; the most common age are the group fifty(833) and group sixty(860).Conclusions The incidence of skin epidermal tumors in Yinchuan of Ningxia had beenincreasing in the years between2002and2011.The group fifty and sixty are the highincidence of age, they should be regarded as the prevention focus. It is suggested to strengthenthe education and pathological examination of skin tumors, in order to achieve earlyprevention, early diagnosis and early treatment.
