Objective To study the effect of Soluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo onepithelial-to-mesenchymal transition of renal tubular epithelial cells in chronic renalfailure rats, in order to explore the mechanism of the inhibition of renal interstitialfibrosis. Methods Adriamycin(ADR)-induced nephropathy were performed in theSprague-Dawley (SD) rats. The rats were randomly divided into four groups:controlgroup, model group, valsartan group, Soluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo group. Aftertreatment for8weeks, rats was measured24h urine protein, BUN, Scr and oxidativestress levels of SOD, MDA,Masson-stained was used to assess the collagenaccumulation in renal tubular interstitium. Immunohistochemistry staining wasperformed to measure the expression of TGF-β1and α-SMA. Results The area ofpositive collagen staining, the expression of TGF-β1and α-SMA in the model groupwas significantly higher than that in the control group. Renal pathological changeswere relieved and the expression of TGF-β1and α-SMA were significantly reducedafter Soluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo or valsartan treatment (P<0.01). The aboveindexes were lower in Granules group than in valsartan group (P<0.01). ConclusionSoluble Granules Yishenjiangzhuo can reduce chronic renal failure in rats24h urineprotein, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine, improve renal function, canenhanced antioxidant capacity of rats with chronic renal failure, chronic renal failurerat plasma radicals,can effectively reduce the decrease the expression of TGF-β1and inhibit EMT, then inhibit tha accumulation of collagen, finally reduce the fibrosisof renal tubular interstitium, and its effects is better than valsartan.
