| Objectives: To investigate the effects of continuous blood purification (CBP)therapy on clinical eiffcacy in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) patients. Methods: Fifty SAP patients were divided into two groups from in January2007toNovember2012in Fujian province hospital. Twenty-five SAP patients received CBPtreatment(CBP treated group), Twenty-five SAP patients received regular therapywithout CBP treatment(NON CBP treated group).ALL patients’clinical informationwere recorded in detail. Results:(l)Both of the two groups’ white blood cell count(WBC) and C-reactiveProtein(CRP) levels were lower than that were before the treatment-Comparisonbetween the two groups indicated that the CBP treated group have greater reduction inCRP(P<0.05).(2)Atfer the treatment, the CBP group’s total bilirubin(TBIL)〠alanineaminotransferase(ALT)〠aspartate aminotransferase(AST) and lacticdehydrogenase(LDH) were lower compared with pre-treatment in CBP treatedgroup.while in control group, the TBILã€ALTã€AST were higher than before,LDHlevel was lower than it was before. Comparison between the two groups indicated thatthe CBP treated group have greater reduction in TBILx ALTã€AST(P<0.05).(3)Atferthe treatment^blood calcium were both elevated in the two groups.Comparison between groups shows that CBP treated group can elevated bloodcalcium greatly?and the two groups make statistically different(P<0.05).(4)TheCBP treated group can greatly decreased the average length of stay of SAPpatients(P<0.05). Comparison between the two groups indicated that the CBP treatedgroup have greater reduction in APACHEII scores(P<0.05).There were no significantdifference of the prognosis between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: SAP patients with CBP treatment have better efficacy on inflammatory mediator decrease, reverse the liver function and shorten the average length ofstay, can indicate the clinical therapy in some certain degree. |
