Development And Application Of Specific Nursing Management Behavior Scale For Diabetes Liaison Nurse

Objective:To develop diabetes liaison nurses management behavior scale; To investigate work statusquo related to diabetes care management of diabetes liaison nurses; Probe into effects of therelated factors for diabetes liaison nurses management.Method:1.Based on the application of the Delphi technique,the expert consultation questionnaireswere designed and distributed to12experts from nursing management and clinical diabetesnursing working area for2rounds, The results from the two rounds of surveys were analyzedand were used to screen optimization scale items and develop diabetes liaison nursesmanagement behavior scale;2.426cases of diabetes link nurses come from25hospitals in east,west,north guangdongand the pearl river delta region were surveyed by application of the management behavior scale.To evaluate diabetes link nurses management work status;3.Data were analysised with analysis of variance(ANOVA),Independent-Sample t Test andmultiple stepwise regress analysis to find some related factors for diabetes link nursemanagement.Result:1.After the two-round consultations,two times of the scale dimensions importantance scoreKendall’s W was0.25(P <0.05) and0.34(P <0.01),two times of the sacle items Coefficient ofvariation was0.11-0.33and0.11-0.19. The average coefficient of the experts’ authorities Cr was0.877, the test-retest reliability spearman Coefficient of the diabetes link nurse managementbehavior scales was0.822, the total Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was0.851. Four compoentswhich eigenvalues was greater than1were accounted for69.9%of the total variance;2.On average each item score of diabetes link nurse management behavior scales was3.63±0.54,the average item score of domain2“blood glucose monitoring and insulin injectionmanagement”ranked the first(3.98±0.76)during all the dimensions.The item5“check the periodof validity of blood glucose monitoring test paper in ward” scored the highget,the item4“calculate hypoglycemic events of patients in ward”scored the lowest;3. If there is a fixed diabetes care management time per week, degree of familiarity formanagement content, different departments, diabetes liaison nurse working experience time, etc.Different of which on the management behavior scale total score or one dimension scoredifference was statistically significant. conclusion:1. The result of scale sifting items constructed by Delphi is reliable，it has good reliabilityand validity；2.The management work status quo of diabetes liaison nurse was not optimistic, fails toreach the management level “frequently”as a whole，the link nurse did blood glucose monitoringand insulin injection management better,they didn’t pay much attention to hypoglycemic eventsof patients in ward relatively;3. If there is a fixed diabetes care management time per week, degree of familiarity formanagement content, different departments, diabetes liaison nurse working experience time,monthly income level,the management system may be influence factors of diabetes liaisonnurses management work.
