Objective In order to understand the epidemic situation and possible risk factors ofearly repolarization syndrome in YiLing district, Hubei province. In order to provide auseful reference for other epidemiological studies on early repolarization syndrome inother parts of China, and provide baseline information for the influence on survival rateand cardiovascular disease mortality in future researches. Methods The survey was conducted from September in2010to March in2011inYiLing district, Hubei province. Stratified cluster sampling method was used, and3393rural participates were included. The questionnaire included basic demographicinformation, habits and customs, past history and family history of illness, Etc. Clinicalexamination included height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, bloodpressure, ECG, Etc. Chi-square test was used to compare the different characteristics ofeach index of the crowd, and logistic regression analysis was used to explore thepossible early risk factors of early repolarization syndrome. Results (1)The prevalence of early repolarization syndrome. Among the3393participants, the prevalence of early repolarization syndrome was10.17%, theage-adjusted prevalence is8.72%. The prevalence of early repolarization syndrome inmen was12.94%, the age-adjusted prevalence was8.79%; and in women was8.19%,the age-adjusted prevalence is7.91%. The prevalence of early repolarization syndrome was13.64%、5.66%、8.24%、11.11%、10.86%、11.11%、9.43%、11.19%、8.95%respectively, at the age of25~、30~、35~、40~、45~、50~、55~、60~、≥65.(2)Thepossible risk factors of early repolarization syndrome. Though Logistic regressionanalysis, the results showed that men (OR=1.529,95%CI:1.206~1.939), local residents(OR=1.669,95%CI:1.138~2.447), unmarried (OR=2.869,95%CI:1.201~6.849),might be the possible risk factors for the early repolarization syndrome. Compared withexercise every day,3-4days exercise in every week (OR=3.428,95%CI:1.917~6.132),1-2days exercise in every week (OR=3.372,95%CI:1.297~8.768),don’t exercise in every week (OR=3.984,95%CI:2.538~6.254), might the possiblerisk factors. Be compared with don’t eat sweets,5to7days eat sweets in every week(OR=3.223,95%CI:1.236~8.402), might be the possible risk factors for the earlyrepolarization syndrome. Conclusion The prevalence of early repolarization syndrome in YiLing residents was10.17%, the age-adjusted prevalence is8.72%. Sex, immigration, the frequency ofweekly physical exercise, the frequency of eat sweets weekly might be the possible riskfactors for early repolarization. Residents should be alert to the pathogenesis of earlyrepolarization syndrome, avoid or reduce the risk factors, go to the hospital timely;reduce the prevalence of early repolarization, so as to promote people’s health.
