| Objective To observe the treatment effects of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) andsimple surgery to the post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) patients.Methods Major trauma patients with disfiguration who were hospitalized before surgerywere investigated at plastic surgery department in Xi Jing Hospital from May to November2012.36of them were sampled by psychiatrists according to the America’s diagnostic andstatistical manual of mental disorders fourth edition (DSM-IV) and post traumatic stressdisorder self-rating scale (PTSD-SS). They were divided into NLP and simple surgery groupsrandomly according to single and double order method, with18for each. Then, four hoursmental intervention was made for the NLP group by experience element changing, fearelimination and four steps change format, while mental intervention did not been made for thesimple surgery group.Results After two months, follow-up visit was practiced. It was found that the PTSD symptomsof the NLP intervention group were alleviated obviously. The scores of repeatedly recurrentexperience and avoidance symptom were relieved obviously. The scores of the repeatedlyrecurrent experience and avoidance symptom after intervention [12.67±4.29and16.67±6.47respectively] were lower than before intervention [22.00±5.10and20.40±4.88 respectively](repeatedly recurrent experience P<0.001, avoidance symptom P<0.05). Thedifferences between the before-and after-intervention of the NLP group have statisticalsignificance. There was no obvious change of PTSD symptoms for the simple surgery group.Conclusions The experience element changing, fear elimination and four steps change formatin the NLP improves the injury induced PSTD symptoms significantly, while surgery alone hasno obvious effect to PSTD symptoms. The treatment of NLP to injury induced PSTD patients isvery simple, quick and effective, which is worthy of popularizing. Objective By interpersonal comprehensive diagnostic scale and symptom checklist90(SCL-90)symptom self-evaluation scale, this research investigate the psychological status ofcongenital microtia malformation patients by ear reconstructive surgery with before and aftertreatment.Methods Interpersonal Relationship Integrative Diagnostic Scale and symptom checklist90(SCL-90)were given to patients with congenital microtia malformation before earreconstructive surgery by scale for people using unified instructions. After three months of theear reconstruction, we had a follow-up visit for these patients with congenital microtiamalformation and observed whether there was mental change for them before and after thesurgery.Results The score of the interpersonal comprehensive diagnostic scale increased from11.69±5.47before treatment to6.22±4.24after treatment. That is to say, these patients hadimproved interpersonal skills. It was shown that among the patients,28%with mildinconveniences,31%with moderate inconveniences,41%with severe inconveniences beforetreatment, while63%of them were with mild inconveniences,43%of them were withmoderate inconveniences and3%of them with severe inconveniences after treatment.Contrast all the factors in the SCL-90scale with the national norms and it was found that thescores of nine of the factors were lower than the norms, which had statistical significance.Except the terror factors, the scores of the other eight factors after surgery were obviouslydecreased than before treatment. Conclusions Interpersonal comprehensive diagnostic scale survey results told that after theear reconstruction, patients with ear congenital microtia malformation had better interpersonalrelationship than before the surgery, with their interpersonal skills bettered mostobviously.SCL-90symptoms self evaluation scale test results that the patients’ state ofmind is good. in addition to the terror factor, the rest of the eight factors were significantlylower after treatment, the difference was statistically significant. |
