Comprehensivelyanalyzing the different intermediary factors for the antenatal mental stress. Methods:This is a cross-sectional study. During October2010to September2012,1237antenatal women fitted this study were recruited as subjects, who were invited to finishSymptom checklist90(SCL-90)〠Esynck Personality questionnaire(EPQ) andSelf-reported antenatal Investigation (SAI). Descriptive analysis were used todemographic information of subjects, the score of SCL-90subscales and positive percentof each factor; Binary Logistic Regression to detect intermediary factors of antenatalmental stress and linear regression to establish regression model equation from personalcharacteristics to it. Data analyzed with Statistical Package of the Social Sciences Program16.0(SPSS16.0).Results: 1. Mean age of1237subjects was28.35±3.257. Urban pregnant women appearedobvious somatizationã€obsessive-compulsive and depression during antenatal period.Besides, they appeared significant hostility during first and third trimesters, phobia anxietyduring second.2. Intermediary factors to antenatal depression were young ageã€low education levelã€once pregnancyã€bad physical feelingã€cool attitude of parentsã€limit of feeding preparation;to obsessive-compulsive were once pregnancyã€unstable living statusã€bad physicalfeelingã€unstable emotion.4. Intermediary factors to first-trimester hostility among urban pregnant women wereyoung ageã€unstable emotion and fear of delivery; to second-trimester phobia anxiety werelow education levelã€unstable familyã€unstable emotionã€great self-changeã€boy-expectation;to third-trimester hostility were once pregnancyã€no enjoying baby〠bad physical feelingand choosing Caesarean.5. Regression model equation established from personal characteristics to theirantenatal depression was: Depression=34.031+0.115Psychoticism-0.118Extraversion+0.629Neuroticism; lie sub-scale score Beta=-0.029(p=0.389)without going into theequation. To their antenatal obsessive-compulsive the equation was:Obsessive-compulsive=27.252+0.105Psychoticism+0.595Neuroticism; lie andextraversion sub-scale scores respectively with Beta=-0.063(p=0.084) and Beta=-0.029(p=0.232)both no coming into the equation. Conclusions:There were significant antenatal mental stress among urban pregnant women, whichalso shows different appearance and intend during divided-trimesters. There were specificintermediary factors respectively to effect urban pregnant women’s mental stress ofwhole antenatal periodã€and all divided-trimesters. Besides, personal characteristics greatlyeffect urban women’s antenatal mental stress as most important intermediary factors. | Keywords/Search Tags: | urban pregnancy women, trimesters, amental stress, intermediary factors, personal characteristics | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
