According to statistical information, the surgery disease of eyes takesthirty percent of surgical diseases in the pet clinical. The trauma cataract is a highercomplication of eyeball perforation, which is the main reason that makes canine blind. However, the domestic veterinary clinical has a very little understanding and treatexperience of the disease. So in order to make the clinical veterinary have a goodunderstanding of the trauma cataract and the process of the development and providepathological model for the drug development. In the test, we established the traumaticcataract model of the rabbit and canine and the exploration of intraocular lensimplantation. In this experiment, the trauma cataract model of the rabbit and canine was builtby scratching the anterior capsule and the cortex of lens by1ml syringe. After that,we did the surgery of the small incision without suture extracapsular cataractextraction and got the following conclusions.1.The cataract model are in line with the medical definition which is anyopacification of the lens.2.The trauma cataract of the rabbit belongs to focus trauma cataract which theopacity lies in the anterior capsular and the peripheral cortex and the opacity partdidnā€™t development with the passage of time.3.The trauma cataract of the canine belongs to posterior cortex cataract and theopacity site development with the passage of time. After one month, the opacity siteenlarged to the whole posterior cortex of the lens.4.The surgery of small incision without suture extracapsular cataract extractionand intracapsular lens implantation is the best choices for the treatment of cataract inthe clinical veterinary.
