This paper which is based on the analysis of field survey and data analysis presents thesituation and causes of pesticide residues on vegetables in Qingzhou city, Shandong Province.Judging from the overall trend, the pesticide residues rate of exceeding standards onvegetables decreased year by year in Qingzhou city; In term of different quarters, the pesticideresidues rate of exceeding standards on vegetables is higher in the first and second quarter andlowest in the third quarter in Qingzhou City; From the perspective of different places ofsample collection, the pesticide residues rate at companies, supermarkets, cooperativessamples collected exceeded the rate at fairs, bases, wholesale markets. Moreover, the pesticideresidues rate at demonstration gardens, experimental area is lowest. In the light of differentkinds of vegetables, the pesticide residues rate of radish and chives are highest, meanwhile,the pesticide residues rate of beans is lowest.The irrational use of pesticides in vegetableproduction progress is the main reason to cause the problem of pesticide residues invegetables from Qingzhou City. In addition, residual problems which result fromenvironmental pollution, planting layout, transportation and storage of pesticides themselvescan not be ignored.Vegetable industry in Qingzhou City is the important pillar of agriculture production, butthere are many problems in the quality and safety of vegetables. First, in terms of vegetableproduction, producers have poor awareness of safe medication, pollution-free and organicvegetable production base construction is slow, management level of standardized productionis low, grassroots agricultural extension system is not perfect and so on; Secondly, in terms ofpesticide management, the main problems are incomplete market management, illegaloperation and so on; Thirdly, In the light of pesticide residues testing, testing capability andstrength is low, standard system should be perfected, the sampling is not standard andtraceability system of samples which exceed the standard is not perfect; Finally, in the aspectof supervision, we should take actions to improve the law system and vegetable quality andsafety supervision system, to enhance the awareness of quality and safety of vegetables.Pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables from the vegetable production issues,distribution and sale of various aspects of strict control, quality control and security throughsupport measures to achieve the purpose to ensure the quality and safety of fruits and vegetables. In accordance with standardized production, strictly regulate the use of pesticidesvegetables dose, the focus is to ensure the quality and safety of vegetables, if you can withoutpesticides, they try not to use pesticides, the ultimate goal is to develop a pollution-free,organic, green vegetables, vegetable industry to achieve healthy and sustainable Qingzhoudevelopment.The problem of pesticide residues can be controlled from different aspects concludingvegetable production, circulation and marketing. We can use quality supervision and supportmeasures to ensure the quality and safety of vegetable. In accordance with standardizedproduction, vegetable producers should strictly regulate the dosage of pesticides in vegetables,and the key is to ensure the quality and safety of vegetables. If there is no need to usepesticides, they should try not to use pesticides. The ultimate goal is to develop pollution-free,organic, green vegetables and realize the healthy, sustainable development of vegetableindustry in Qingzhou City.
