At present, the development of agriculture has entered a new era in China. After 30 years of reform and development, the long-term shortage of vegetable supply has become to the overall balance into surplus in bumper years. Vegetable production and development have been constrained by the resources both to resources and market constraints. The quality of vegetables has been an obstacle to the further development of vegetable industry. To improve the quality of vegetables, produce safe vegetables in promoting agricultural development, building a moderately prosperous society and the expansion of international trade has great practical significance.In this paper, Lianyungang City of organic phosphorus pesticide residues in vegetables as the background, market sales of vegetables (including vegetable base, farmers market, wholesale markets, supermarkets) as the subject matter were analyzed the situation excessive organophosphate pesticides. Samples were taken from different locations, different vegetable varieties, and used different months to statistics and make the influence factors analysis. Test data showed that exceeding rates of pesticide residues in the vegetables produced in the city vegetable base was the lowest. Moreover, exceeding rates of pesticide residues in melons kind of vegetables were lower than other types of vegetables. In addition, exceeding rates of pesticide residues was higher in July, August and September than other months. This phenomenon is mainly due to their own vegetable pests, pesticide sales market is not standard, and there is lack of supervision and vegetable market sales model deficiencies. The suggestion is to strengthen the biological control method, carry out the multi-level training of farmers, strengthen pesticide sales market, develop the safe production of vegetables, improve the market access mechanisms and innovative vegetable production and marketing model. In addition, the government should develop the Vegetable Association, contract farming, develop the new sales mode such as company+base+ farmers, and open the safe vegetable market. Moreover, it is necessary to improve the quality and safety of vegetables comprehensively, make the market competitiveness, health and safety, and achieve sustainable development of vegetable industry.
