Critical Rules Ana Key Methods Of Mountain Organic Apple Production In Yan’an

Yan’an Mountain Apple has become a new bright spot of Apple production, and isconsidered as the most promising organic apple base. Based on the advantages of Yan’anmountain apple industry, this study exploring the key method of organic apple production inthis region, the conclusion is as follows:The advantage of Yan’an mountain organic apple including superior natural conditions,large scale, distinctive regional climate characteristics; significant ecological environment,better government finance situations and greater policy support; disadvantages are includingbarren soil, organic fertilizer shortage, poor orchard background, frequent natural disastersand poor technical support.In Yan’an mountain organic apple production, the organic production rules ‘required theuse of plant protection products’ is the most difficult one to practice，followed by ‘transitionperiod’,‘the use of organic fertilizer’,‘The use of bio-fertilizer’,‘soil and waterconservation’, and ‘biodiversity conservation’,‘ensure the integrity and traceability of organicproducts’. In management systems, the rule ‘establishing and maintaining managementsystem’ and ‘procedure documentation to establish a sound traceability system to keepdetailed records of the entire process and market batch system’ is the most diffcult. The rule‘documentation requirements’ and ‘resource management’ follows.According to the above investigation, the primary key point for Yan’an mountain organicapple production including transit period, soil management, pest and disease control, soil andwater conservation, biodiversity protection and management system, document requirements,internal inspection and traceable system.Yan’an mountain organic orchard grass intercrop experiments showed that wintermortality rate of Trifolium repens Linn was about88.2%and was not fit for localintercropping; The mortality rate of Coronilla varia L. was8.4%overwinter and was fit forintercropping in Yan’an mountain orchard；Astragalus adsurgens Pall is inappropriate forintercropping in mountainous orchard. Mustard rapeseed varieties Yanyou No.2can surviveoverwinter and is fit for Yan’an mountain orchard inter-planting.The proposed eight key methods for Yan’an mountain organic apple productionincluding encouraging professional cooperatives as the basic unit of new producers, training new farmer; Establish soil management system by grass intercropping, developing ecologicalorchard, applying exert self-control and natural enemies integrated pest management system,promoting the small open center tree types, strengthening the soil and water conservation, andbiodiversity protection.
