The avian colibacillosis has been a serious and common disease in poultry husbandry industry in Taian, Shandong Province. The pathogen causing chicken colibacillosis has multiplicate antigenicities and serological types. The clinical symptoms and pathological changes of this disease are also very changeable. Meanwhile, it has the ability to infect accompanying with other viral diseases and bacterial diseases which cause a higher morbidity and mortality of the chicken, and leads the severe financial loss of the animal husbandry industry. Many chicken raising farms do not have the normative drug using regulation, which cause a sever resistance to drugs of colibacillosis, and the prevention and cure has been much harder. Therefore, it’s necessary to start an investigation of the chicken colibacillosis morbidity in the urban and rural area around Tai’an to characterize the morbidity, and select the effective drugs through test the sensibility to the present frequently used clinical drugs, and offer the necessary theory and clinical information for the further study of this disease. The research of chicken pathogenic escherichia coli in a circumstance to undertake investigating.50strains of the pathogenic Escherichia coli were isolated from24standardized hennery and100canopy chicken farms in six different cities of Tai’an, focusing on its biological characteristics and drug sensitive. In order to improve farming efficiency a rational prevention and treatment measures was formulated. This study is divided into two parts:Test I Isolation identification of the pathogen causing chicken colibacillosis in the area of Tai’anChicken disease giblets materials suspected as colibacillosis was collected from24chicken farm in Tai’an area and the isolation identification of bacterial was proceeded.Finally,50strains pathogenic E.coli were isolated. The preliminary identification concerning cultural character, staining characteristics of isolated bacteria were carried. The isolated E. coli were confirmed by serotype identification, test of the biological characteristics and pathogenicity tests. The results showed that:50strains were identified as E. Coli and11strains serotype were confirmed; the main serotypes are O36, O2, O78and O88. They are the dominant serotypes of local avian pathogenic E. coli. It was found by pathogenecity test, there were30highly pathogenic strains in50E.coli. Test Ⅱ Drug sensitive test of the pathogen causing chicken colibacillosis in the area of Tai’anDrug sensitive test of50strains of isolated pathogenic escherichia coli was carried by using Kirby-Bauer agar diffusing method.12kinds of clinical antibiotics were selected and used, E. coli isolated from different farms are differences, and the same separated E. coli are also not same.12strains of resisting three drugs over total96%of the isolated strains showed widespread multi-drug resistant, and the strains which have tolerance to three kind in the12kinds of medicine account for96%of the total strains, for the performance of the common multiple drug resistance. The drugs that Escherichia coli resist are:Tetracycline, Erythrocin, Norfloxacin, the drug resistance of these three medicines are all greater than70%, the most serious drug resistance is Tetracycline, and drug resistance rate is100%; the most sensitive drug are Cefotaxime and Amikacin, and the sensitive rate reached66%and52%. This test to clinical medicine provides a basis of a certain reference value for effective prevention and control of Escherichia coli disease.
