Crops, cash crops and vegetables planting develops by leaps and bounds along withthe government encouraging crop farming strongly. Agricultural and mechanization level isnow entering mature stage in our country, but sowing mechanization of small seeds cropslike vegetables is imperfect. The essential feature of mall seeds is smaller size, irregularshape, lighter quality. Radish belongs to small seeds crops, also has very strictlyrequirements when planting. We must control depth of sowing strictly when planting, and10-15mm is the proper depth. If deeper, cotyledon can not break ground and then died. Ifmore shallow, the seeds will be washed away when irrigating. According to agriculturerequirement of radish, we need to adopt single particle planting pattern. Reseeding willproduce inferior radish because of interplaying when growing, and miss-seeding will causereduction of output which can bring economic loss to peasants. Dedicated seeding machineis not existed inland at present for radish, and seeding machinery existing can not achieveprecision sowing until now. So radish planting in large areas is under restriction in ourcountry. Seeds of radish are small and size distinction between them is obvious. Althoughour crop sowing has gone to mechanization, we could not provide a precision drill forradish seeds at present. Bunch planting by peasant and drilling by simple machine aremethods for radish planting. Adopting this method will lead to labor intensive, lowoperation efficiency and be difficult to achieve large-scale planting. So it blocks thedevelopment of radish farming.This article introduces an air-suction precision drill of radish, which type is2BLQ-2.It could complete ridging, opening ditch, sowing and covering earth all at once. Seederridging on farmland pulled by tractor, at the same time furrow opener ditching on ridge,seed-metering device which pulled by wheel put seeds on seedbed one by one as requireddistance, then cover earth and compact soil. All these are the characteristics of this machine.In order to operate the machine simply and flexibly and easy to maintain, criticalcomponents of it are designed to be adjustable. This machine not only liberates theworkforce, enhances productivity and seeding quality, but also reduces investment cost forpeasants. The popularity of air-suction precision drill plays an important role inimplementing mechanization in large area for radish planting. The air-suction precisiondrill ofï¼'BLQ-ï¼'adopts adjustable designing, is easy to operate and has wide rangeapplication. We do a lot of filed trails after producing the prototypes. This machine hasbeen proved to have reasonable structure, precise seeding well and it is according with agriculture requirement of radish. It has won national patent in2011(patent no.: ZL201120225969.0). It has been produced ten in Huifeng machine manufacturing Ltd inShandong Weifang. It is put on trail sale in Zhangjiakou region. We collect the data andanalyze it, then we draw a conclusion: the machine throws seed evenly, has the same depthof sowing, meets the requirements of radish planting. The advent of air-suction precisiondrill of2BLQ-2will play an important role in promoting radish planting.
