| In order to study the effects of different level of methionine on White Roman goose laying reproductive performance,egg quality and amino acid composition.196White Roman geese and48gender were randomly divided into fourgroups according to a1:4ratio of male and female,every group has60geese.The control group was feed corn-soybean basal diet which was short of methionine(0.25%Met).The3experimental groups were supplemented with0.35%,0.45%,0.55%Met respecttively.Experimental diets are formulated in accordance withthe nutrition of the laying geese need(NRC1994),conventional management, free feedintake and water.Pre-treatment period was7days and the period of trial lasted35days,the results are as follows:Experiment1: Effects of Met on White Roman goose reproductiveperformance.The results showed that:(1) Compared with the control group,experimental group1, experimental group2and experimental group3improved thetotal number of laying eggs by4.86%,11.48%,5.08%,total egg weight was increasedby6.09%ã€13.95%ã€6.67%,the everage egg weight was increased by1.18%,2.21%,1.52%,the rate of feed to egg was reduced by4.75%,9.19%,4.59%.(2)With the increasing Met level in diet,the incubating rate, fertility rate,hatching rateand output rate followed an upward trend.The breeding geese have the bestreproductive performance,when the diet has0.45%Met.Experiment2:The effect of Met on egg quality.The result showedthat:(1)Compared with control group,the experimental group1and experimentalgroup2elevated eggshell thickness significantly(P<0.05).However,there were nosignificant differences on egg shape index,albumen height,Haugh unit,yolk colour(P>0.05).(2)With increasing Met level in diet,there had in-significant effect on egg ofamino acid composition.(3) With increasing Met level in diet,the Calcium contentshowed an upward trend,but the Phosphoyus content showed a downword trend onegg and eggshell. These results suggest that:Met can improve the egg mass,everage egg weight andegg percent of pass. the incubating rate, fertility rate,hatching rate and output rate areincreasing.Met can increase the eggshell thickness, the Calcium content showed anupward trend,but the Phosphoyus content showed a downword trend on egg andeggshell.The White Roman goose showed the best production performance andreproductive performance when the diet had0.45%Met. |
