This experiment adopts the single factor design,Study the Effects of Methionine on production performance and antioxidant ability of Jilin White geese aged 28 to 70 days.One hundred and twenty 28-day-old healthy Jinlin White geese were randomly divided into 4 groups with 3 replicates per group and 10 geese in each replicate.The experiment lasted for 42 days.The methionine level of based diet is 0.23%.Respectively add DL-methionine 0.20% gradient in the basic diet.Geese in the 4 groups were fed experimental diets containing 0.23%,0.43%,0.63%,0.83 % DL-methionine,respectively.By measuring Jilin white geese age 49 and 70 days of growth index,serum biochemical index,serum and liver,gut antioxidant capacity index and Jilin white goose age 70 days of nutrition metabolism index.The results showed that:Dietary methionine level had significant influence on average daily gain and the ratio of feed on Jilin White Geese aged 28 to 49 days(P<0.05),daily feed intake had no significant influence(P>0.05).With the increase of methionine level,average daily gain appear was decreased after rising first,With the increase of methionine level,the ratio of feed appear was rising after decreased first,0.63% methionine level group had maximum average daily gain and minimum ratio of feed.Methionine can improve nutrient metabolic rate on jilin white geese.Dietary methionine level had no significant influence on DM metabolic rate on Jilin White Geese aged 10 week days(P>0.05).CP and EE metabolic rate had significant influence(P<0.05).0.63% methionine level group had maximum DM,CP and EE metabolic rate.Dietary methionine level had significant influence on serum globulin content and uric acid content on Jilin White Geese aged 49 and 70days(P<0.05).With the increase of methionine level,the serum total protein and globulin content appear was decreased after rising first,0.63% methionine level group reached the maximum.With the increase of methionine level,the serum triglyeride and uric acid content appear was decreased first rising after,0.63% methionine level group reached the minimum.The effects of Methionine on jilin white goose serum antioxidant capacity:Dietary methionine level had significant influence on the dynamic of serum GSH-Px?SOD and the content of serum MDA,GSH on Jilin White Geese aged 49 days(P<0.05).0.83% methionine level group had maximum serum GSH content and minimum serum MDA content.the content of serum GSH and the dynamic of serum GSH-Px in 0.83% methionine level groups was significantly higher than that in 0.23 % methionine level group(P<0.05).With the increase of methionine level,the serum MDA content appear was decreased.The effects of Methionine on jilin white goose gut antioxidant capacity :Methionine can significantly improve the dynamic of gut T-AOC and CAT on jilin white geese aged 49 days.and significantly reduce the content of gut MDA.Dietary methionine level had significant influence on the dynamic of gut T-AOC and the content of gut MDA on Jilin White Geese aged 70days(P<0.05).0.63% methionine level group had the maximum dynamic of gut T-AOC and SOD,the minimum content of gut MDA.The effects of Methionine on jilin white goose liver antioxidant capacity:With the increase of methionine level,the dynamic of liver T-AOC and GSH-Px significantly improved(P<0.05),the content of liver MDA significantly reduced(P<0.05).With the increase of methionine level,the dynamic of liver CAT and SOD appear was decreased after rising first,0.63% methionine level group reached the maximum.,but 0.63% methionine level group and 0.83% methionine level group have no difference.Therefore,Adding methionine in diet can improve the jilin white geese production performance and enhance jilin white geese antioxidant capacity.under this experimental condition,the optimal Jilin White geese dietary of methionine in diet is recommended as 0.63% in 28 to 70 days.
