Potato is the fourth-largest crop in China, the planted area and output ranks first in the world. Chain-scoop metering device is more widely used on potato cultivation than any other kind of device, but due to the limiting by access ways it easy to produce an empty hole, the rate of drain sowing up to7%, easily lead to a great agricultural losses because of the subsequent replanting inconvenience. Domestic potato planter in the mechanical design of the hydraulic system had been very mature, but the lack of related electronic monitoring systems to monitor potato seeder seeding performance, therefore, developed a set of monitoring system that could act as a real-time global monitoring of performance and could complete drain broadcast warning. This system aids to improve productivity and save labor, and has great significance to promote mechatronics development of precision sowing potato farming. Research in this study and conclusions are as follows:(1) Based on a lot of domestic and foreign researches on the seeder monitoring system, and after a comprehensive comparison of the same type seeding machine at home and abroad, before the design scheme of potato precision seeding-machine monitoring and early warning system. And according to the actual requirements, determined parameters and fault seeding monitoring, at the same time, a specific research was had done for the principle of early warning system.(2) To monitor the potato planter with existing photoelectric detection technology advanced, also completed the hardware design leakage sowing early warning system, including DC regulated power supply design, sensor module, MCU control module, alarm module and display module, the design content; the core of intelligent control system was used the STC89C54RD micro-controller, to parameters of sowing and sow potato planter seeding operation process fault real-time monitoring. when the seed leakage phenomenon monitored by early warning system, monitoring and warning system of sound and light alarm signal warning.(3) System software was used C language to write the system monitoring program, the modular design thought used, according to the hardware function, the system could be divided into four main function modules, namely, the main program, the sensor signal acquisition subroutine and display subroutine, sound and light alarm subroutine. Finally, having an anti-jamming design for loss sowing early warning system, that improved the reliability and stability of the loss sowing monitoring and early warning system of potato precision seeder.Finally, through the Proteus and Keil software simulation testing, the results show that leakage sowing early warning system:System in potato planter seeding artificial simulation condition, which can automatically identify leakage sowing and lack of seeds and calculation of leakage sowing rate; in the continuous leakage sowing exceed the standard case can automatically alarm system is reliable, stable;, meet the design requirements.
