| In recent years, animal husbandry in China has developed rapidly, which has become amainstay industry of the agricultural economy and rural incomes. But the frequent animaldiseases, not only make farmers suffer a great loss, but also restrict the sustainabledevelopment of animal husbandry and threaten food safety as well as human health. Chinesegovernment established early warning and rapid response mechanisms, though these measureshas made great achievements for animal epidemic prevention and control work, the basis ofanimal disease prevention and control in rural areas is still very vulnerable. Farmers, asmicroscopic principal of animal epidemic prevention and control in rural areas, lack ofawareness of the risk of the epidemic spreading, the level of scientific prevention and controlwork is low. To improve farmers’ behavior of prevention and control of animal epidemicdirectly related to the implementation of the rural animal epidemic prevention and controlsystem operation and national emergency animal disease rapid response mechanism. Therefore, studying farmers’ behavioral response at the risk of epidemic and identifying themain influencing factors, are of great significance for improving the level of animal diseaseprevention and control, even for increasing farmers’ income and food safety. In this paper, primary data investigated based on farmers in province Shaanxi and Henan, who have experienced low pathogenic avian influenza poultry. Firstly, epidemic preventionand control behavior has been analyzed, then used Multinomial Logistic model in-depthanalysis main factors affecting the prevention and control of behavior and comparativeanalysis of different scale farmers prevention and control behavior and its influencing factorsof differences, and finally proposed how to increase the level of animal disease preventionand control, to improve the behavior of farmers recommendations on the basis of theempirical analysis, the content include five parts.Chapter one is an introduction to introduce the background of the animal epidemicprevention and control of farmers on the basis of the understanding of domestic and ResearchIn Motion, the ideas and methods of this study, and possible innovations. The second chapter analyzed the impact of animal epidemic farmers and farmers prevention and control measures, introduced the current epidemic situation firstly, and thenanalyzed the impact of the epidemic on farmers in terms of production capacity, production isexpected to last based on the current epidemic prevention system the status quo on the basisof the farmers epidemic risk prevention and control measures. In chapter three, took pathogenic avian influenza for example, analysis of the differentbehavior of the farmers in their risk selection, and comparative analysis of different types offarmers in the prevention and control of behavioral differences, the results showed that thevast majority of farmers immunization, clean low proportion of disinfection, a largeproportion of farmers for sale cheap eliminated the chicken group, there are still some farmerssuspected infected poultry culling consumption scale farmers and backyard farmers havedifferent prevention and control of behavioral tendencies. The fourth chapter studied the characteristics and family economic status of farmers, breeding characteristics, cognitive characteristics, social environment characteristics of thebehavior of prevention and control, and comparative analysis of the different effects ofvarious factors on the backyard farmers and size of households. The conclusion believededucation, family annual gross income, the scale of farming, average input costs, farmersexpected risk perception, vaccination effect cognitive, veterinary experts channels eightvariables significantly influence the behavior of the prevention and control of farmers, thefactors backyard households and size of household behavior were different. The last chapter, on the basis of the summary of the foregoing analysis, feasiblesuggestions for improving farmers’ behaviors and enhancing the level of prevention andcontrol in the situation of animal epidemic had been proposed. |
