In this article, it was hoped to find new genetic resources of Korla fragrant pear by budmutation seed selection and irradiation mutagenesis. The growth characteristic wasinvestigated and compared between Korla fragrant pear and its bud mutation ‘Sha01’.Studied the effects of different pollinizers on fruit characteristic of Korla fragrant pear and itsbud mutation ‘Sha01’ in order to provide theoretical basis for increasing fruit yield andquality by arranging pollinating trees reasonably. In Korla and its surrounding aera, it washoped to find the suspected bud variant of Korla fragrant pear with better fruit quality andcold resistance than Korla fragrant pear by comparing the two comprehensiveness index. In2011, dormancy branches and stirring branches of Korla fragrant pear were treated by60Co~γ, and observed the changement of the phenophase, growth characteristic and fruitcharacteristics of the alived branches in2012, to research the effect of leaves, new shoots andfruits from the radation. Finally, the results were as followed:1. Compared with Korla fragrant pear, the leaf of ‘Sha01’ was oval lanceolate and thebranch of ‘Sha01’ was short type. The comprehensiveness fruit quality of ‘Sha01’ was betterthan Korla fragrant pear, example the fruit weight, edible rate, Vc and water content weresignificantly improved than Korla fragrant pear, and the fruit firmness was significantly lowerthan Koral fragrant pear. Mixed pollens of different cultivars could improve the fruit qualityand fruit setting rate of Korla fragrant pear and ‘Sha01’ significantly. But the cold resistanceof ‘Sha01’ was lower than Korla fragrant pear.2. In Korla and its surrounding aera, two suspected bud variants were found. The averageof the fruit quality and cold resistance of Number1suspected bud variant were better thanKorla fragrant pear, but there was no significant difference between them. The fruit weight, edible rate, Vc and water content of Number2suspected bud variant were significantly higherthan Korla fragrant pear, and the fruit firmness was significantly lower than Koral fragrantpear, but had a lower soluble sugar concent. The fruit quality of Number2suspected budvariant was better than Korla fragrant pear, but the cold resistance was lower than Korlafragrant pear.3. By observing the radiation branches it was found that, in2011, the variation rate of theradiated branches was higher than that in2012. And in2012, the effect of survival branchesfrom radiation was trailed off, and the leaf area would be decreased, and the distance betweenbuds of branches sugar content of Korla fragrant pear would be increased by the radiation. From the comprehensive effect of the radiated Korla fragrant pear, it was thought thatradiation in30Gy was better to select the new varieties of Korla fragrant pear.
