Forest ecosystem health evaluation research is the emerging field in the study of forestryand ecological protection. Although it is controversial, but it is of high theoretical and practicalsignificance, because it can provide scientific basis for scientific forest protectioncountermeasures and it plays an important role in promoting the level of forest sustainablemanagement. In addition, the development of information technology also calls for forestryinformation management. The design and implementation of forest health assessment system notonly provides support for rapid decision-making and decision-making scientific, but alsoprovides the necessary foundation for decision of forest resources management. This paperconceives the forest resource survey data of Kaihua County in2009as information source, andcompleted the research of forest resources health evaluation based on the subcompartment level, design and implementation based on a small level of forest health assessment system at thecounty level. Design and implementation the county forest health assessment system which basedon the level of subcompartment.Specific contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)In this paper, an index system of county forest health evaluation be set up in the forestmanagement unit level, which contains productivity, organizational structure and resistance. Theindex system contains12indexes and6sub indexes. First of all, use the method of expertconsultation and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to calculate the weights of index. Then, according to the relevant standards determine index reference value and standardized the index. Finally, according to the evaluation of the units and dimensions use the method ofcomprehensive index to complete the evaluation of the arbor health. Research results show that:among the29906subcompartments, there are746high quality healthy subcompartmentsand they cover an area of3801.20hm2which is2.94%of the total area of the arbor in the studyarea; there are6134healthy subcompartments and they cover an area of29919.19hm2which is23.17%of the total area of the arbor in the study area; there are16621sub-healthsubcompartments and they cover an area of90179.26hm2which is69.82%of the total area ofthe study area; there are5950unhealthy subcompartments and they cover an area of3217.53hm2which is2.49%of the total area of the study area; there are455pathological subcompartmentsand they cover an area of2034.87hm2which is1.58%of the total area. Thus the number ofsub-health subcompartments and health subcompartments is the largest. Kaihua overall healthindex is0.50028, and its health condition in the sub-health state.(2)Based on the content and method of Kaihua forest health assessment, a county foresthealth assessment system which based on the level of subcompartment was designed andimplemented by using Visual Studio2008and SQL Server2008database. The system has threemajor functional modules: user management, weight calculation and health index calculation. Through the establishment of evaluation hierarchy model and calculating weight, then using thesoftware of Arcgis to deal with the data of subcompartments and standardized the indexes afterthe actual parameter values are imported into the evaluation system. In the end calculate thehealth index. The applicability of this system is very strong. The system not only can be free tochoose indexes and study area but also can quickly realize the forest health evaluation. In thispaper, the data of Kaihua were used to test, and the calculated result is consistent with thecalculation result of the fourth chapter. The results Suggests that the system has strong versatilityand high scientific and feasibility.
