| Forest is a community carrier based on land and dominated by woody plants,it has multiple functions. But for a long time, due to the improper protection of forests or even deforestation, the world’s forest resources are rapidly decreasing.Forest tending is an efficient way to maintain forest health in the process of forest production and management. The evaluation of forest health after tending is the key to observe the effect of forest tending, and on the basis of the evaluation results, forest management measures can be formulated to maximize forest efficiency. In this study, the forest health status of Beijing H forest after one year’s forest tending is evaluated. At the same time, according to the evaluation results, the quality and efficiency of forest tending projects are evaluated from the perspective of forest scientific management, which provides scientific basis and targeted management countermeasures for improving the quality of forest tending projects and comprehensively reflecting the forest health status. The main findings of this study are as follows:(1)Based on Pearson correlation analysis, the index frequency statistics in related research literature and expert consultation, and according to the actual situation of the research area,17 indexes, such as average DBH,average tree height, unit area volume, and canopy density, were selected to build the forest health evaluation index system(2)Based on the evaluation index system,AHP is used in the weight determination of each index, and 17 indexes are classified at the same time, and then the forest health of 17 small classes of trees are evaluated by the weighted comprehensive index method. The result of comprehensive evaluation shows that the health level of the forest farm after tending is"healthy",this indicates that forest tending has a positive effect on forest health. The evaluation results also show that forest tending is not a project that can see significant effect in the short term, and it needs people’s long-term efforts to maintain the healthy management of forest.(3)The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is applied to the secondary evaluation of H project forest health system. The evaluation value shows that the data obtained by the two evaluation methods are basically the same, which proves that the forest health evaluation system has strong rationality and effectiveness.(4)According to the results, some suggestions for forest tending and sustainable management are put forward to improve the quality and efficiency of forest tending to achieve the goal of sustainable management, such as adjusting tree species composition, improving stand structure, thinning over dense sample plots and improving management level.Forest health management is becoming global trend in recent years, and forest tending is an efficient way to keep the forest healthy.Based on the theory of forest health,we discuss the connotation of forest health, establish a complete set of forest health evaluation index system for the project H of artificial forest tending, and conduct empirical research on health status of the research area,at last, put forward corresponding suggestions for future forest management according to the evaluation results, which can improve forest quality and increasing its efficiency. |
