A Study On Management Of Facility Equipment Reliability For John Deere Company

John Deere is a large agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises. A lot ofproduction equipment need support from facility for normal operation. In order toensure the normal production, the facility equipments are needed to be in highreliability. Therefore, reliability management on the equipment is also being paidmore and more attention by the company leadership.This paper is a classical theory on maintenance.---It has given a briefintroduction and explanation on reliability-orientated maintenance, also methods andexperience from domestic and foreign research in recent years. Then during theanalysis on facility equipment management status of John Deere, it has showed lots ofproblem existing and raised many questions. Meanwhile, it also make a series ofstudies on the maintenance mode selection, status testing and repairing, equipmentmaintenance and repair procedures and equipment maintenance informationmanagement. It has given many improvements on the existing problem based onreliability principle. First of all, it has made a summarization and analysis on facilityequipment status and management in John Deere. Then selected a suitablemaintenance and repair mode directed by reliability principles. Secondly, strengthentest and inspection on equipment status, made status maintenance to the key ones,made relevant SOP files and records. Finally, information management on equipmentmaintenance: input the equipment information, PM plan related information into SAPsystem to reach the automation and information management on equipmentmaintenance.
