Starting from the theories of reliability and maintenance engineering , combining ?HGS?series grain dryer?s characters and actual necessary, the paper illustrated the evaluating target of reliability and maintenance in detail, and described the qualitative command of reliability and maintenance. Using the method of spot experiment, regarding the model ?HGS-8?, ?HGS- 10? ?HGS-1 5?as the studying objects, the researching recorded the failures and repair of ten samples, analyzed the relation between failure and using time, calculated the target of reliability and maintenance, evaluated the reliability and maintenance objectively, then put forward advising ad solution for improvement and anticipated the result after mending. Mending design on ?HGS?series grain dryer can improve its efficiency, reduce all life-span cycle expense, prolong its using life-span, enhance dryer?s economical benefit.
