Intelligent Plant Maintenance System Based On Machine Vision

In recent years,with the rapid development of technology and economy,people's requirements for high quality life is getting higher and higher.Many people have started to improve their living environment by cultivating potted plants.However,amount of people are too busy to look after the plants.Plants in their home become wilt,decay and fall day by day.At the same time,smart home,as a new technology,has been widely attracted public attention.Under the effect of these two aspects,it is fascinating and concerned to develop intelligent machine to cultivate home plants.It aims to develop an intelligent plant maintenance system.In this paper a set of system has been designed for indoor environmental interference.This system is developed based on the machine vision.The location and growth information could be obtained by a CMOS camera.An embedded system based on STM32 microchip is developed.Several different sensors are used to monitor plant growing information and the growing condition like soil moisture,illumination etc.A mobile robot platform is developed to accomplish the plant conservation intelligently.In comparison with analogous market products,the plant maintenance setup studied in this paper has more functions and is more intelligent.After the further design in appearance,it can be widely applied to maintain plants in living environment.
