With the continuous development of China’s urbanization, urban management encounters more and more problems. To be specific, these problems includes:the lack of effective means of information collection and feedback, the difficulty to timely discover the problems existing in municipal facilities, the lack of effective supervision mode, the difficulty to implement effective supervision of municipal facilities management, the difficulty to ensure that the problems are found in time and handled quickly and properly, the lack of effective means of interaction, and the difficulty to provide convenient service for the general public. These problems has seriously restricted the improvement of overall work efficiency and service level of the municipal administration, as well as the potential of efficient urban development and the improvement of city management efficiency. Therefore, it is imperative for the municipal administration departments to establish a digital municipal comprehensive management platform, so as to achieve real-time monitoring of municipal facilities and intelligent processing.The digital municipal integrated management platform is an intelligent management system which combines hardware with software. Through the Internet of things technology and the information collection equipment installed at the site, the information collected is timely fed back to the total control platform. The total control platform then processed the on-site real-time data, thus timely performs the informatization management of digital municipal work. This system is designed with the currently popular Browser/Server framework. Users can log in from the client side in the form of web pages and perform related business operations. This system is developed using JAVA programming language within the framework of MVC. All of the system functions are developed with the aid of the Eclipse development tools. In view of the data information involved, this system uses SQL SERVER2010database to introduce the database design, the system E-R diagram and main database table.This thesis summarizes the development of the digital municipal integrated management platform, and expounds its basic elements as well as major subsystems. Based on the digital municipal integrated management platform’s research on the demand analysis of information collection, transmission and processing, with the combination of the Internet of things architecture, this thesis designs an integrated framework as well as basic functions of digital municipal integrated management platform on the basis of the Internet of things which conforms to the development status of digital city in China. Also it introduces the macro design of the system’s major subsystems, including the subsystems of drainage, roads, bridges, pumping stations and flood control..
