There are some problems of the traditional equipment management of power rigid, such as management mode rigidity, data not being shared and low security, which can not be able to meet the requirements of the development of smart grid. While the technology of Internet of Things(IOT) can do all the objects on the Internet and complete the intelligent identification, tracking, positioning, control and monitoring for equipments using the signal docking and communication technology. Therefore, it has practical significance and engineering application value that the research of the smart grid equipment management system based on the IOT is carried out to reduce the cost and data sharing and raise the level of grid equipment management.Aiming at the problems existing in the equipment management of power grid, this paper studies the characteristics of the smart grid and the Internet of Things, and studies the smart power grid equipment management system based on Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) technology of IOT and cloud computing platform. The specific works and research results are as in following:(1) The working principle of the IOT based on FRID technology and the composition of the IOT system are analyzed. The system includes information acquisition, information server, product name server and application management.(2) The basic architecture of the Internet of things for smart power grid application is built, which is composed of sensing layer, network layer and application layer. They are respectively used to realize the collection of information to identify, transfer and application in the power IOT production management link.(3) The function requirements of power equipment management system, considering factors and main characteristics and the main function are analyzed. The main design route of power equipment management system is put forward. A system for smart power grid equipment management based on RFID is designed. The system consists of radio frequency tags, automatic identification device, management center server and monitoring computer. The Equipment identification is mainly by means of radio frequency tag, and the equipment details are obtained by using Internet, and the information is automatically generated and flowed into the database.(4) The management system of power safety equipment is selected as an example, and the principle of equipment management system based on RFID technology of IOT is analyzed. The management system of power safety euqipments is designed based on Internet of things technology.The research results show that the smart power grid equipment management system based on RFID IOT technology is feasible and efficient which can solve some problems existing in the management of power system, and it has reference value for the intelligent design of power system.
