The torque converter is one of several key hydraulic transmission components. It is mainly a closed hydraulic component consisting of a pump wheel,a turbine, and a guide wheel. It is installed between the engine and the automatic transmission.Torque, speed and clutch. In recent years, research on torque converters has been continuously carried out.The focus of research is mainly on the size design of torque converters and the calculation or simulation of internal flow fields. The tests of various operating characteristics of torque converters have the disadvantages of overly bulky facilities and poor interchangeability. The torque converter performance test rig proposed in this paper uses a modular connection, which can load a certain type of torque converter to simulate the working characteristics of the torque converter under different driving conditions of the vehicle and its parameters Testing and researching the characteristics makes it easier to understand the working characteristics of the torque converter, which is of great significance to further improve the performance of the torque converter. The torque converter designed in this paper is a test requirement for the performance test of a three-element torque converter.Without the destructive modification of the torque converter, the torque converter is developed to perform the performance of a certain type of torque converter.Test system for testing and outputting characteristic parameter change curves. On this basis, the design and connection of the mechanical structure of the test bench and the electronic control system were completed. The mathematical model of the torque converter for the test was established and the test system was simulated. The feasibility of the test scheme was determined. The comparison between the output characteristic curve and the test results verified the correctness of the modeling and simulation results, and obtained the theoretical research results of the causes of the test errors and the performance changes of the torque converter. The main contents of this article are as follows:First, based on the test requirements,a test element—YJH265 torque converter—was selected, and related physical parameters such as the circulation circle, circulation flow rate, and torque speed of the internal flow field were measured according to the relevant size parameters of this type of torque converter.Theoretical calculation was carried out, which laid the theoretical foundation for the scheme design and simulation of the test bench.Secondly, according to the test requirements of the torque converter, the structure of the test scheme and the design of the control method were designed, and a size-matched test bench was designed for the YJH265 torque converter, and related component selection and self-made components were carried out.Strength Check.Thirdly, the mathematical model of the torque converter was established in the Maple environment, and the custom components of the torque converter and the motor were modeled in MapleSim software according to the loading requirements of the pump wheel and turbine side.Based on this,a system model of the torque converter test bench was set up to simulate the forward and reverse braking conditions. Finally, the actual test on the test bed was carried out,and the relevant characteristic curves were obtained. The experimental data were compared and analyzed with the simulation.
