As the most important building material now days, concrete is required more and more higher in practical engineering. According to the different requirements of concrete, concrete mixing equipments have a variety of structural form, such as horizontal shaft forced mixer and vertical shaft planets wheel mixer. At present, the double shaft mixer is most widely used in the market as the characteristics of reliable operation, high production efficiency, and the integration with mixing stations. With the developing double shaft forced mixing technology, some new type of mixers began to appear, such as spiral-belt mixer, the spiral shafts mixer, etc.Single-spiral-belt mixer is chose to be object of the paper, about which the theoretical research is relatively lack at the present. Based on analyzing the mechanism of concrete mixing and rheological specific, the key parameters of the mixer such as helix angle of spiral belt, length-width ratio of Mixing drum, arrangement of mixing arms and mixing speed were analyzed. So the reference value range of the parameters and the relationship between helix angle of spiral belt length-width ratio of Mixing drum are obtained. Then, according to the parameters and referring to the type JS double shaft mixer of one company,3D model of the Single-spiral-belt mixer is established.the paper carry out on the mixing flow field numerical analysis in single-spiral-belt mixer by using the CFD software, during the analysis, the unsteady multiphase flow model is used. By analyzing the turbulent situation, the flowing speed and the tracer concentration distribution in the result of the numerical analysis, the paper obtains the most reasonable parameters of the mixer finally. The most reasonable helix Angle is27.5°, thus determines the best mixing barrel length-width ratio is0.78, and the best mixing velocity is1.76m/s. The method by which we can observed the whole process of material flow provides the design of the mixing console parameter with a medium visualization, digital optimization scheme.Based on the optimized parameters of concrete mixing, the3D model of Single-spiral-belt concrete mixer is modified. Then by using the finite element method, the mixing arm is analyzed by the finite element static analysis and checking strength of it. After that, using the Design of Explore module in the workbench, optimization design is carried out to the mixing arm, and get result of the mixing arm quality to reduce8.6%. Finally, The modal analysis about the single-spiral-belt mixing mechanism is carried out, the six natural frequency is determined, which provides reference data to avoid resonance in the process of work.
